single mum tales
Just not for me, I did struggle to finish (the first time I've had this problem with my Audible choices...)
So well read/performed by the author herself that I could feel the emotion behind her tale, I just didn't care too much.
There are a couple of fun Hollywood/LA recollections but on the whole it was a bit self-indulgent (for me!)
Still, it's very cool to be able to tell your child 'you were conceived in an LA hotel room to an itinerant musician'!

So funny so real, I want more.
I listened to this book over 3 days, it made me laugh so loud. The book was written in a very witty way. The ‘front part’ had me crying with laughter.
If you like books by Dawn O’Porter you will love this book. A must read or listen.

Funny, Witty and so on point!
I absolutely loved this book, it was refreshing and real and resonated with me. Being nearly 40 something single woman trying to fathom a life in this society that still expects us to be a housewife, mother, sister, daughter, colleague without telling the world and everyone in it what we really think. Thanks for the giggles and the pure joy of this piece.

Very enjoyable
I really loved this book, I follow Sophie Heawood on Instagram (found her holiday trip to Italy hilarious on Instagram stories) and couldn’t wait for the book to come out. It didn’t disappoint, it’s very open and honest and it’s read beautifully, it adds an extra special bit of goodness that’s it’s read by her.

Warm, reassuring, wise
The best memoir I've ever read/listened to. It felt relatable, even though I've not brushed with accidental pregnancy or high profile journalism, funny, and warm. It didn't feel self indulgent as I find memoirs often do, but sweet and triumphant in a lovely way.
