A very good read, initially I thought it might be a bit short at 3 hours, but its crammed full of useful information. 10/10 would recommend to a friend if they were interested in a concise guide to self improvemeny from a military perspective.

There are a lot of books published by American soldiers, telling us about the psychology behind good leadership. However, very few by British soldiers on this subject.

Here, at last is a book which goes a long way to redressing this balance. It's a really good - feet firmly on the ground - perspective on what Sandhurst teaches its students. It is well told, without theatrics and gives the reader solid advice.

However, the book is somewhat spoiled by the robotic perfocmance of Theo Solomon, who appears to have no real interest in the subject-matter.
