Summary

Brought to you by Penguin.

In THE END OF THE WORLD RUNNING CLUB Edgar Hill ran 550 miles after an apocalypse to try and find his family.

He had it easy.

This is his wife’s story.

Beth Hill has survived the apocalypse with a baby and toddler in tow. And what’s more she’s done it alone - without her husband’s help. He’s never been any help. But when disaster strikes and someone steals her kids, she knows what she has to do.

The new world might be very different: no government, no law, no infrastructure and a whole lot more ocean than there used to be. But one thing hasn’t changed - the lengths a mother will go to save her family...

As enjoyable as Book 1

I wasn’t expecting to enjoy this book but it was so good I was compelled to keep listening whilst not wanting the door to end. Highly recommended.

Loved it!

Great continuation of the story. Excellent narration. My only gripe was it was so compelling that I finished it in 24 hours and and couldn’t put it down ;-)

Pretty good

Quite enjoyed this and didn’t take long to listen to. Wasn’t quite as good as the first book but still enjoyable. Didn’t realise beforehand that this one was written from his wife’s perspective but it works quite well. Recommend.

Fantastic sequel

I loved this book, couldn’t stop listening! The narration was excellent and the story was fast paced, interesting and emotive. It was a great sequel to The end of the world running club which was so good I listened twice. I highly recommend both books.

Great escape from 'normal life'

I put off meeting up with friends to get to the end of this it was a super book. I needed escapism and it certainly delivered on that front. Brilliantly descriptive, I could easily visualise the story happening in my mind. Happy at the end but sad I had finished it. I am drawn to devastating story lines with a small glimmer of hope and happiness. This was excellent for me and centred my thoughts on our very 'normal lives' privileged lives. I would definitely recommend.

A great continuation of the previous plot/story.

I liked the perspective of looking at the other side from the fist book. At the same time moving the story along with further problems to over come in the new world after the disaster. The narrator does a great job of keeping in accent and dealing with the other vocals. I like the authors humour in both books. Great read keep up the good work and I can imagine there to be another adventure in the pipeline. Great job all round.

Great Story

Loved it. Great follow up to the Running Club. Nice to hear a Scottish person narrating although some of the other accents sounded a bit exaggerated but still good.
Spoiler: I had predicted the sequel would take place in Africa but I am glad I was wrong as I enjoyed the new settings and characters. Looking forward to book 3 if it is the works?

Brilliant!

I’ve just been on a great adventure! A wonderful bunch of characters surviving as best as they can. A wee bit of swashbuckling where the treasures are the loved ones that are too far away and the friends who help to shorten the distance. A beautifully narrated story.
