About this listen

Random House presents the audiobook edition of After the Party by Lisa Jewell, read by Imogen Church.

Eleven years ago, Jem and Ralph fell in love. They thought it would be for ever, that they’d found their happy ending.

Then two became four, a flat became a house. Romantic nights out became sleepless nights in.

And they soon found that life wasn’t quite so simple any more.

Now two people who were so right together are starting to drift apart. As they try to find a way back to each other, back to what they once had, they both become dangerously distracted.

But maybe it’s not too late to recapture happily ever after ...

I’m so glad I didn’t read the featured reviews as I wouldn’t have purchased! I really enjoyed this book, if you loved Ralph’s Party this is a fantastic read with true to life observations of the journey of relationships from first head over heels love to the mundane & how easy it is to fall out of love if you don’t appreciate what you have. If you enjoyed the characters in the prequel I’m sure you will enjoy this!

Loved it!

I was unsure whether to listen to this book as there had been a number of poor reviews however I decided to listen to it straight after reading the first book. I loved it and couldn’t wait to have time to listen again.

Gripping- love the characters

I usually love anything by Lisa Jewell. She is such a talented writer. I enjoyed Ralph’s Party but was completely underwhelmed by this sequel. Nothing happens for huge amounts of the book apart from the hum drum of everyday life, usually her writing has a dark twisty side to it and I kept waiting but it didn’t happen. Just a bit of a dull story about a couple, that is my opinion. Others may love it.

Not for me

Make sure you read in order, Ralph’s party first ❤️ different from her usual but just as good

Beautiful book...

I enjoyed this follow up to Ralph's party and would definitely recommend. there's so many twists and turns in their love story and highs and lows much like real life. Both characters feel lost but in opposite ways. Its narrated very beautifully (other than a Scottish accent) if you love Lisa Jewell then read this..

not a conventional love story
