Everybody knows Daisy Jones and the Six.

Their sound defined an era. Their albums were on every turntable. They sold out arenas from coast to coast.

Then, on 12 July 1979, Daisy Jones walked barefoot onto the stage at Chicago Stadium. And it all came crashing down.

Everyone was there.

Everyone remembers it differently.

Nobody knew why they split. Until now . . .

[T]his absorbing novel is full of irresistible characters, and brilliantly evokes its time and place. It's my favourite novel of the year.
Unique, inventive and stylish...It's exciting and intoxicating, and I loved the effortlessly cool Daisy Jones. It is a novel I'll revisit regularly.
I totally fell for Taylor Jenkins Reid’s engaging recreation of the 70s rock 'n' roll scene . . . this novel has a lot of heart.
Part juicy celebrity tell-all, part A Star Is Born . . . Be prepared to read it in a single night.
I devoured DAISY JONES AND THE SIX in a day, falling head over heels for it. Taylor Jenkins Reid transported me into the magic of the 70's music scene in a way I'll never forget. The characters were beautifully layered and complex... Daisy and the band captured my heart, and they're sure to capture yours too.
Fascinating . . . you can't wait to find out what happens next . . . Everyone should read this.
The heady haze of the 70s music scene, and a perfectly flawed Daisy, combine to create a fresh, rock n roll read. I loved it.

Thoroughly enjoyed this! The story is believable and I finished it in less than 24 hours. A much faster read than 'the seven husbands of Evelyn Hugo' by the same author which I also liked a lot. Like 'the seven husbands...' this audiobook also transports the listener back to a different era. The interview format worked very well on audio and the cast of narrators did a spectacular job. I thought the last few lines were a bit over the top but otherwise definitely one of the best books I listened to in the last three months. I especially liked the portrayal of the female characters Kamila and Karen. They were interesting and complex. The narrator reading Daisy was outstanding in embodying both her strength and vulnerability.

This was incredible!
I am not generally a fan of contemporary fiction, but this was something else! A must-read, for sure.

This is a brilliant book really brought to life as an audiobook. Performances are all excellent, the story unique and so refreshing after the hundred clone detective, unthrilling thrillers and Gone Girl books that are everywhere right now.

I love the way this never tried to be a story where all worked out well, it was just an honest account of a band that was believable. I would have loved it to have gone on a bit longer.

Fabulous . A gem of an audiobook

Took a while to get into the style, but it was very very good. Really enjoyed it.

I haven't listened to an audio book of this sort before. It was more like a performance!
I was really dubious about buying this book as the reviews on audible haven't been very positive, but I had heard good things from people who had read it.
I'm really glad I decided to listen anyway and form my own opinion as I absolutely loved it and this will forever be one of my favourite audiobooks.
The performances were incredibly believable, it really brought the story to life and made it totally convincing that these characters were real. I am gutted this is all fictional and I can't go and listen to the songs, or watch videos of the band, or Google photos of them all together!
For a documentary-style book, this works surprisingly well and I was stoked to find out that amazon prime are creating a limited series.
