One girl can make a difference...

Moscow is in flames, leaving its people searching for answers – and someone to blame. Vasilisa, a girl with extraordinary gifts, must flee for her life, pursued by those who blame their misfortune on her magic.

Then a vengeful demon returns, stronger than ever. Determined to engulf the world in chaos, he finds allies among men and spirits. Mankind and magical creatures alike find their fates resting on Vasya's shoulders.

But she may not be able to save them all.

ive listened to the trilogy from its first release. released at the perfect time of the year, in the dark winter months. Beautifully evocative of fairy tales and medieval Russia. Gati tells the tale superbly and Arden weaves a tale that i can imagine being told to children on long nights by warm fires.
i have that feeling today of a book shaped hole now the trilogy is complete.

sad it has come to an end

Engaging story mixing historical fiction with mythology and magic. Kind of like a Russian Percy Jackson in the middle ages.

Russian mythology/historical fantasy

I fell in love with this trilogy allready at the first book. A listened them all within couple of weeks and I can find myself longing for more of Vasilisias adventures and about the magic around her.

I just love this trilogy.

Beautiful and addicting story

I feel sad that the trilogy has finished. But I will look forward to the next winter. Where I live the winters are mostly dark and very cold. I started listening to the first books in the winter and have waited patiently for this final book. When the days are only brief daylight at the horizon and the temptation to sink into the low of winter’s cold, I will always start the trilogy. There are still so many things man does not understand about the world we live in and I live in a country that still celebrates the original pagan holidays, only now with Christian names this story to me will always be entirely possible. Thank you to the author and the narrator for bringing this story to life. It is a book that I think lends itself to listening in front of a crackling fire with the winter winds blowing outside.

This trilogy will always be my winter read.

If you’ve got this far in the series than book 3 is not going to disappoint you. The plot had me almost in tears at times and and author sticks the landing on this charming trilogy.

Narration was well done.

Wonderful
