When it comes to genes life's a lottery....

As Abi knows - she's spent her life in the shadow of her beautiful, glamorous older sister Cleo. Headhunted as model when she was 16, Cleo has been all but lost to Abi for the last 20 years. I love Jane Fallon but this book is not very good.
I was expecting some sharp, witty humour between the sisters but this is soapy and boring.
I am 1/3 through and don’t feel like continuing really. Will return

I liked this story because it was a different style than Janes normal "revenge" plots.... HOWEVER.... She didn't end it and I have to agree with every other reviewer who said so. There is wanting to leave it to the readers/listeners imaginations and then there is just... not satisfying the desires of that readership. It spent a good 10 hours working up the relationship between her sister and herself and in parts - done well - but a lot dragged and sadly nothing actually changed and nothing actually evolved - it is a really weird one..,.. I'm actually a bit confused as you might be able to tell. I liked the idea and the way it was written and was entertained ...but I was left wanting and not in a good way

Not up to Jane Fallon’s usual standard. A bit slow and a bit dull but the most disappointing and , frankly, annoying thing about this book was the abrupt ending. Maybe the author was so bored even she couldn’t be bothered to finish it!
