I am an avid Lisa Jewell reader/ listener and have ‘read’ all in Audible, mostly haven given 5 stars. This was an older story, which is obvious. In my opinion it hasn’t stood the test of time and some of the language used is near the knuckle in terms of political correctness, outdated terms which we now don’t use. The story itself was okay, listenable and enjoyable if a little slow and obvious. The main thing for me though is the narrator, really over the top delivery which nearly made me give up the story but glad I persevered. All in all, enjoyable but no where near her other stories.

One of the older books

Usually not into romance, but this was so entertaining and touching. It felt like I know them now and looked forward to meeting them every day. Funny, witty and quirky.

Absolutely loved it!!! Outstanding narrator too!!!

Not her best, but still better than most in the genre and well worth a listen. Narration irritating though, which was a pity.

I love Lisa Jewell

Another lovely storyline full of funny, witty dialogue and images. It also deals sensitively with some traumatic issues. Great characters and beautifully narrated.

Great read
