About this listen
Penguin presents the audiobook edition of Then She Vanishes, written by Claire Douglas, read by Sian Thomas, Katie O'Flynn, Nathalie Buscombe and Olivia Dowd.
That summer, the three girls had the world at their feet. Now, one is missing.
On a summer's night in 1994, 16-year-old Flora Powell vanished from her sleepy seaside town. She left no trace - only heartache for her mother and her sister, Heather.
And one is a murderer.
Twenty-five years later, Heather walks into a stranger's house. There, the loving wife and doting new mother kills two people in cold blood.
So only one remains...
Jess is sent to report on the case that shocked the hometown she left behind. But it's anything but business to her. She was like a sister to the Powell girls, until the summer that tore them all apart.
Can Jess find the key to both their mysteries?
Or will her search reveal a darker side to the place she grew up - and put her in danger?
©2019 Claire Douglas (P)2019 Penguin AudioI’m pretty sure that I guessed the outcome of this book but I changed my mind about 20 times as it kept twisting and turning and there were so many different elements. I love a book that actually disturbs me, and this one did, more in a sad way.
I’ve read other reviews were people comment on it being ‘long winded’ which I don’t agree with. There were several different mysteries, and with these sorts of books, you can’t rush an ending otherwise people will complain about it being sloppy and chucked together. It tied up perfectly. Brilliant

Good story

I felt the story flowed well. I had guessed some of the twist and turns but it didn't distract me from the book
There were, however, some inconsistencies. I can't say them as it would be a spoiler.
Overall I recommend this audio.
