About this listen

Free, powerful, and in possession of a dead Lord’s storage ring, all he needs is a new identity, and he can start his career as an archhuman delver.

With his time in Faralethal’s mines coming to an end, Freddy is finally free to tackle the world. With the spoils of his unlikely victory, he expects to take the world of delving by storm. Unfortunately for him, things are never that easy.

Big city life is harsh for those without backing. There are many who have been born into power, and many who are willing to do anything to get ahead.

In the grand scheme of things, an independent two-star is still prey.

But with the freedom, funds, and most importantly, time, it won’t be long until he shows the world why, despite all that had tried to kill him, he is still alive and thriving.

Book 2 of this action-packed LitRPG Adventure from Robert Blaise set two hundred years after a reality-altering apocalypse.

Featuring a weak-to-strong Brawler MC who never backs down, a unique power system, apocalyptic elements and more!

Really good book don’t spend too long till next one this is a great series well done

Great second edition

Started well off only for the entire book to take place in a rat/mole infested realm for over 10 hours, and our little maintenance character is pretty passive, just goes about his days until trouble finds him and pushes him to get stronger, so a very passive character in my opinion, but still a good overall book and the audio voicing is fantastic, I will preorder the next book.

Good but stagnant

the story is overall, ok. the author gets bogged down in how special the MC is and hands him power after power without any exploration of previous powers, just so that we know he's special. there's a weird fixation on steroids too. not sure why, but every few chapters, there's another part where the MC has to/wants to/boasts about steroids.

there are named characters that barely get a description, a whole chapter focused on a fight between brand new named characters. its impossible to tell who is good, who isn't etc. its just a tedious slog of "Steve punched John, Kelly, was taken aback by Rachel, who was behind dave, etc etc".

the story is OK, but the execution is poor with an MC that doesn't care about anyone, but is obsessed with how others feel about him. but he's a loner, except when it's a girl, then he's super suave, except he's an inept virgin, etc etc. it's just very unfocused.

I wouldn't recommend it personally, unless you really enjoyed the first one. but I stopped half way through and don't think I'll return to the series.

Very bland

Absolutely fantastic second book, Freddy is such a great character. The narration is great, genuinely I don’t think you can find a better narrater. Really looking forward to the third book
