Summary
Brought to you by Penguin.
From award-winning actor and food obsessive Stanley Tucci comes an intimate and charming memoir of life in and out of the kitchen.
Before Stanley Tucci became a household name with The Devil Wears Prada, The Hunger Games and the perfect Negroni, he grew up in an Italian American family that spent every night around the table. He shared the magic of those meals with us in The Tucci Cookbook and The Tucci Table, and now he takes us beyond the recipes and into the stories behind them.
Taste is a reflection on the intersection of food and life, filled with anecdotes about growing up in Westchester, New York, preparing for and filming the foodie films Big Night and Julie & Julia, falling in love over dinner and teaming up with his wife to create conversation-starting meals for their children. Each morsel of this gastronomic journey through good times and bad, five-star meals and burnt dishes, is as heartfelt and delicious as the last.
Written with Stanley's signature wry humour and nostalgia, Taste is a heartwarming story that will be irresistible for anyone who knows the power of a home-cooked meal.

Magnificent
Stanley Tucci could well be my new best friend, only he doesn't know it yet - such is the intimacy he creates in his wonderful memoir. I know he likes me but I have to conclude that it feels rather one sided, much like his relationship with Marcello Mastrioianni but that's the nature of the medium ie fan based adoration. Anyway, enough of the fanboy malarkey, this is a seriously outstanding memoir and is truly excellent in its own right and easily as good as Nigel Slater's 'Toast', Anthony Bourdain's 'Kitchen Confidential' and Eric Ripert's '32 Yolks' in that it brings a uniquely personal perspective to family, food, health and the author's relationship to it. But please do be mindful, he and I are best buds so you might think I would say that wouldn't I but believe me, this is the real deal - genuinely engaging, informative, inspiring and above all, from the heart.

Food and Life
A thoroughly enjoyable listen to a life of a man and his journey through the love of food.
An enjoyable actor to watch, a fabulous voice to listen to and a relatable foodie. I have enjoyed his TV series 'Searching for Italy' and enjoy his passion for food and everything connected to its creation.
I look forward to hearing more from any future endeavours Stanley embarks on.

Best Audio book ever!
Stanley Tucci set the book on fire.
His love of food and drink, and his family shone through.
I laughed out loud and felt his pain.
Would definitely recommend it.
Thanks Stanley- only sorry it had to end.

Life explored through food.
I loved it.
It tells his snippets of life through something we can all understand - important meals and dishes that have special meaning to us. It’s a lovely story and my only comment might be that I would have liked the lasagne recipe.

Perfection
This was a perfect holiday listen, his words either had me salivating for whatever meal was next, warmed my heart or made me giggle. I hope more books will follow. Thank you Stanley.
