Lockwood, the new tenant of Thrushcross Grange on the bleak Yorkshire moors, is forced to seek shelter one night at Wuthering Heights, the home of his landlord. I have listened to Wuthering Heights quite recently but as I wanted to read this and Jane Eyre and Tenant of Wildfell Hall together I was browsing Audible for different versions. I paid for Aimee Lou Wood’s version and I wasn’t disappointed. I think it feels more like an epic poem than a novel and she brought out the beauty of the language and the humanity of the characters. I loved it and I highly recommend doing the marathon of all three from Penguin.
