I really liked this book and the narration is excellent. Felt it ended a little abrupt- I was waiting for something more profound

Didn’t really enjoy this one, it was so different to her others, not very sophisticated. Then I looked at the date and it was written in 2000. Needless to say the author has improved massively over the years. I’ll stick with her more recent stuff. Will be returning the book.

My least favourite of Lisa Jewell’s books. I think this was mostly down to the narrator though. Unusual, lengthy pauses, male voices all similarly irritating and “romantic” scene just odd the way it was narrated.

I’ve listened to several Lisa Jewel books now and with the exception of Ralph’s Party have enjoyed them all. This one for me was just too predictable and ‘nice’. I see it is an earlier book which perhaps explains why.
