Leigh-Anne Pinnock Reveals What It Feels Like To Be A Mermaid

Describe The Little Mermaid in 10 words or less.
Inspiring. Powerful. Beautiful. Emotional. Enchanting. An overall really empowering story.
Where’s your happy place?
My happy place is obviously at home, with my children, with my fiancé, with my dogs. But it’s also out to sea and that is no joke. I love being on a boat. I feel the most free I’ve ever felt at sea.
What’s your most useless skill?
I can make a weird shape with my tongue *rolls tongue*. And I can also do this *creates a cloverleaf tongue*. That’s really weird and very useless. Is that a bit gross?
Best advice you’ve ever been given?
The best advice I’ve ever been given is to not listen to what anyone else says and follow my dream. Block out the haters and do me.
Acting or singing?
Ugh. I feel like singing is my main love and my first love. Oh gosh, I’m going to have to say singing. I love acting but singing is my first, one true love.
Who would you like to narrate your life?
I feel like the person I would most like to narrate my life would be Meghan Markle. She’s the ultimate queen, really.
Favourite thing about recording audio?
I think my favourite thing about recording The Little Mermaid was exploring the emotions. Reading through the whole story and feeling it. When I finished I thought, oh my gosh, it’s deeper than I even imagined. And that’s from reading out loud.
How did it feel to be a mermaid?
The whole experience was incredible. I loved it. I’ve never done anything like this before, so it was amazing to experience and bring the story to life.
