“As a person who spends way too much time traveling, whether it's by car or plane or train, I've found myself spending more time listening to audiobooks than actually reading with my eyeballs. While I've been listening to audiobooks my whole life, my listening has really ramped up in recent years, and now audio is my first choice when reading a new book. There's nothing quite like finding an audiobook with an amazing narrator. It truly elevates the reading experience.” —Matt Dinniman, author of A Parade of Horribles (book 8 in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series)
This is a haunting, beautiful fever dream only made better by Chiwetel Ejiofor's gentle but masterful delivery. It's one of those stories that stays with you long after you're done.
Rightful winner of the Hugo Award and hands down my favorite read of the past year. Weird and wonderful biopunk. Ana and Din are an amazing crime-fighting duo. Also check out the sequel, A Drop of Corruption, which is just as good.
Sci-fi at its best. Tchaikovsky is the master of the sci-fi plot twist, and Mel Hudson's ability to evoke emotion with her acting makes this book—part 1 of an amazing series—all the better.
I've had the pleasure of working with Andrea Parsneau in the past, and (Jeff, cover your ears) she is easily my favorite audiobook narrator. Her range is just unbelievable, and pirateaba's beautiful, massive world is the perfect playground for Parsneau's talent.
Okay, so those of you who know me know I love a good, disgusting horror novel. Of everything I've ever read, nothing has given me the willies like this one. Don't read if you can't handle a parasitic infection or two.
