Rich Mironov coaches product executives, product management teams and agile development organizations. He also parachutes into software companies as interim VP Products/CPO to fix company-level product/market/engineering/revenue issues. A seasoned tech executive and serial entrepreneur, Rich has been the “product guy” at six start-ups including as CEO and VP Product Management. Since 2001, he has consulted to more than 100 tech companies. Rich is a relentless blogger, speaker, teacher and mentor on software strategy, product management, and aligning “what-we-can-build” with “what-markets-will-pay-for.” His long-running "Product Bytes" blog goes back to 2002, with slides or videos from public talks back to 2008. Rich is a mentor in Silicon Valley (and worldwide) product circles, founded the first Product Camp and chaired the first product owner/product manager tracks at the annual Agile Conference. Rich started his technology industry career as a software engineer at Hewlett-Packard. He managed networking products for six years at Tandem Computers, headed product teams in the early days of Sybase, then went on to a series of startups: Wayfarer Communications, iPass, Slam Dunk Networks (VP), AirMagnet (VP), Enthiosys (CMO) and Suddenly Social (CEO). Rich has an M.B.A. from Stanford University, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a B.S. degree in physics from Yale University (with a thesis on dinosaur extinction theories). He has guest-lectured at many business schools (Haas, MIT/Sloan, Dublin Institute of Technology, Stanford, Santa Clara…), conferences, and corporate events.
