R. G. grew up in Franklin, KY and Donelson, TN., attended Belmont College (what is now University) for a degree in Business Administration (music) and a minor in Marketing. He then went on to work in Distribution Logistics Management from 1984 to 1997. He left management for 6 years and pursued a time in Marketing. In 2003 he recorded a CD of all original songs in pursuit for a time of two years in Christian music ministry. Returning to business in the later part of 2005, he then founded his own business in Commercial and residential Landscaping design, remaining within that vocation for the next 5 years.

In 2005 he published his first novel, Eafin Lokdore and the Magician's Lost Medallion, what started what would become a second novel in 2007, Eafin Lokdore and the Altar of the Sun. These two novels being birthed while he was also homeschooling his two daughters.

Since then, R. G. worked in both the Pest control and Grocery industries until being blindsided by a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease in 2018.

R. G., in 2025, was able to resolve to finish what has become lnown as 'The Eafin Lokdore Trilogy'. It was finalized in the publication of Eafin Lokdore and the Ancient Secret.

The current year of 2026 now brings the publicatioin of R.G.'s fourth novel, 'The Gift: Beyond Drakness, into the Light'. At present he is also currently working on a historical novel of fiction as set in Missouri, to be entitled, 'Just East of Forever'.

When not reading or writing, R. G., tends to the challenges of dealing with Parkinson's disease, praising his loving wife, Tonya, tending to his rose gardening, and spending time on collecting what antidotes he can for his next novel.

"A bit about us, first off allow me to introduce my storyteller, R.G. Edwards, who currently spends his days promoting and talking about Eafin's exploits in Book III of 'The Eafin Lokdore Trilogy'. Beyond that he bides his time with fighting Parkinson's, his rose gardening, his wife, and his one sleepy, old canine simply known as Leroy. Even further beyond those activities, R.G.Edwards continues to study the mysteries of time and space. Now for a few words from R.G. Edwards himself -

Hi, I read Tolkien's Lord of the Rings in my youth. The captivating escape of high adventure was an imaginary experience that affected my childhood and engrained in me the desire for fantasy tales of epic scale. I became enamored with other authors such as C.S. Lewis, 'Narnia series', Terry Brooks, Terry Goodkind, Robert Jordan, J.K. Rowling just to name a few. This gave me a fun-filled perspective on life from varied and different points of view. But I noticed there were certain themes and character traits, such as honor, courage, strength, faith, love and friendship which really resonated because they taught valuable truths.

Fast forward to today and it brings me to having written a epic, high adventure 'The Eafin Lokdore trilogy'. A series of 3 books which I feel returned me to the basics of a pure captivating, high epic adventure story, such as I had discovered in my youth with Tolkien. Having been a homeschool teacher for several years with our daughters, the experience equipped me to better understand what appealed to young readers. And so, I began about 17 years ago on the initial two Books and just finished Book III, Eafin Lokdore and the Ancient Secret in June of 2025 (soon to be available on Amazon).

This has all been a labor of love for me. The Eafin Lokdore trilogy provides the reader with challenges and obstacles to overcome, as does life itself. All the while it is imbued with elements of strong faith, good courage, sure strength, friendship, honor, valor and love. These are valuable truths we can all apply to our daily lives. Delivered with a sense of wonder, adventure, and a grand scope the likes of which dreams are made of.

I truly hope you find a connection with the Eafin Lokdore trilogy and it brings happiness to your life!
