I am a confirmed history addict born a mere 35 years after the Battle of the Somme and 11 after the Battle of Britain. I grew up in Scotland but now live on Canada's west coast where I have written over 30 books (novels and non-fiction) for kids teens and adults. All my books are historically-based and extensively researched (even the fiction). Some of the subjects that have captured my attention are: Arctic Exploration (North with Franklin: The Lost Journals of James Fitzjames); First World War (And in the Morning); Spanish Civil War (Lost In Spain); Romans (Germania); Indian Mutiny (Where Soldiers Lie); Wild West (Written in Blood); and Second World War (Flames of the Tiger and Four Steps to Death).
