Helena Fairfax is an author, freelance editor and insatiable reader. If there's nothing else to hand, she'll happily read the back of the cornflakes packet. It was when she'd run out of books to read on a long train journey that Helena first decided to write one of her own.

Helena writes warm, feel-good contemporary romance in which women take centre stage and where happy endings are guaranteed. She's also the author of Struggle and Suffrage in Halifax, a social history of the women who shaped this West Yorkshire mill town.

Helena lives near the Yorkshire moors, home of the Brontë sisters. When she's not lost in a book, you'll find her walking this wild landscape with her rescue dog, dreaming up her heroes and her happy endings.
