I started writing at the age of 20, I wrote the letter The Road Ahead as a gift for a young adult group when I lived on the east coast for a year. I was actually walking to work and praying that God would help me give back to this group as I was saving money to come back to California and finish Bible school, the thought of how life is similar to a road because it can be hard at times to go from one place to the next without injuring a part of ourselves or someone else. This sparked my heart to write about half of the letter by the time I reached work and prayed later that night and wrote the rest. If you could see my notes from that little writing you would know that it was truly inspired by the Lord. From then I didn't write anything else for 10 years - after I turned 30 I started to write more frequently.
