Evelyn F. Davis was born and raised in Washington, DC. As a child, she dreamed of becoming a school teacher. In pursuit of her goal, she attended Howard University, where she graduated at the top of her class. After graduation, Ms. Davis fulfilled her childhood dream and began her career as an elementary school teacher in the District of Columbia public schools. As a teacher, Mrs. Davis had a unique gift for connecting with, teaching, and influencing her students which was second to none. She not only taught her students the basics such as reading, writing, and arithmetic. She also taught them self-respect, to believe in themselves, and to have pride in all they do. Mrs. Davis instilled in her students the belief that they could achieve anything they put their heart, mind, and effort into. Her greatest joy was teaching her students and inspiring them to become the best version of themselves. Evette Davis, the daughter of Evelyn Davis, completed her mother’s dream of becoming a published author by co-writing and publishing the “Adventures of Sunny”. Evette, like her mother, is a natural teacher, writer, and public speaker. She resides just outside of Washington, DC where she writes books, plays, and essays. Evette is dedicated to sharing with children and adults the many life lessons encoded in the pages of her books. Visit her YouTube Channel, 'Storytime with Ms. Dymond,' for a variety of stories for kids and adults.
