Dr. Heather Jeffcoat (she/her) is an internationally recognized pelvic and sexual health expert and the author of Sex Without Pain: A Self Treatment Guide to the Sex Life You Deserve. She received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Duke University's School of Medicine and immediately saw the void in women's sexual health care that needed to be filled. She has instructed on four continents on both female sexual dysfunction and primary orthopedic issues. Her passion and education for these subjects has led her to holding top positions at major organizations, including as the most recent Past President of the Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy and previously serving on the Board of Directors for the International Pelvic Pain Society. She has been featured in over 250 major media outlets including ABC, Vogue, Women's Health, Self, New York Magazine, Cosmopolitan, Prevention, Glamour, Health, The Washington Post, Buzzfeed and many more. Her multiple podcast appearances include Sex With Emily and She/MD. She is the founder of Femina Physical Therapy, with 3 Los Angeles locations and 1 Atlanta location, all offering one-on-one specialized care for women with pelvic floor and sexual dysfunction. With the Second Edition of her book, Dr. Jeffcoat has expanded beyond the focus of vaginismus, dyspareunia, vulvodynia and vestibulodynia to include additional content for women with endometriosis and interstitiial cystitis / female painful bladder syndrome.
