Chloë Ashby is an author and arts critic. Her first novel, Wet Paint, was published by Trapeze, an imprint of Orion, in 2022. Her second novel, Second Self, is due in July 2023. She is the author of Look At This If You Love Great Art (Ivy Press; 2021) and Colours of Art: The Story of Art in 80 Palettes (Frances Lincoln; 2022), a Times best book of 2022. Since graduating from the Courtauld Institute of Art, she has written for publications such as the Times, TLS, Guardian, FT Life & Arts, Spectator and frieze. She lives in London. www.chloeashby.com
