Bill Allen has been writing humorous short stories and books for kids age 9 to 90 for close to 40 years. He is best known for The Journals of Myrth, a fun fantasy adventure series that begins with How to Slay a Dragon, the story of a small boy expected to fight a large dragon because of a mistake in a prophecy. For contemporary readers, Bill's Orson Buggy series follows eleven-year-old Orson Buggy's struggle to survive the 6th grade. And recently Bill began his new "OFF" suspense series (writing as W. L. Allen) for adults who enjoy dark humor. When he's not writing, Bill can be found hiking and biking in the hills of Tennessee, where he lives with his wife, Nancy, and an assortment of cats.
