Some dreams begin in the narrow lanes of small towns. They do not always need wings to take flight. Sometimes, all they need are words. Words that begin as thoughts on a page and eventually find their way into the imagination of those who read them.
I am one such storyteller.
I was born in Kolkata and raised across Asansol, Durgapur and Dhanbad. Growing up in these small-town environments introduced me to different people, cultures, experiences and stories. Without realizing it, those years taught me to observe people closely, understand their emotions and discover stories in the most ordinary moments.
My journey to becoming a writer, however, was far from conventional.
Before words became my profession, I spent nearly a decade in retail sales. It was an education of a different kind. I learned how to listen, understand people, recognize what matters to them and, most importantly, communicate. Years later, I realized that many of those lessons had quietly found their way into my writing.
My move to Lucknow marked the beginning of a new chapter. Over the years, I have built a career across writing, advertising, radio, social media and communication. I have written for different formats, platforms and audiences, from advertising campaigns and radio scripts to social media storytelling and long-form writing.
My work has received both literary recognition and professional awards. Yet, beyond the accolades, what continues to fascinate me is the power of words to make people think, feel, remember and sometimes even see the world differently.
The books you find here are a part of that continuing journey.
Some are born from observation.
Some from experience.
Some from imagination.
And some simply from a thought that refused to remain unwritten.
I write because there are stories that deserve to be told, thoughts that deserve to be explored and emotions that sometimes find their truest expression through words.
