This was quirky, interesting, had kind of gothic horror vibe with a sprinkle of Tim Burton mixed in, and it actually gave me dark Once Upon A Time vibes too and do you know what it was fun - and yes I know how bizarre that sounds saying it was fun when this book is also a taboo, stepbrother, dark, spicy romance with obsessive, possessive, masked men, serial unalivers, stalkers and kidnappers - it was still fun though, well except ending it right at that point ... WTH, despite not being able to believe that's where the book ended I'm not p!ssy just looking forward to the next book.
And a little note on that - book 2 is already available in paperback and kindle if you want to dive in to the next book, I came across this on audible as at the time of listening and writing this review it's included in the audible plus catalogue and I'm going to hang on for the next one to come out on audible because I started the duet that way and have more time to listen to books than read, this is not an author I'd come across before but is now an author I will be reading/listening to more of, there are 2 books currently available by Ellis Worth on audible, one from another series and that's in single narration and this one which is graphic, full cast audio, this is very personal preference and opinion from an audiobook addict, I don't tend to pick books that are graphic audio narration style, duet or full cast without the graphic audio sound effects and extras will always be my favourite (I read and listen to books because my imagination sets the scene for me so I don't feel the need for the extras, and sometimes I feel it can add a little bit of a cheesy Hallmark movie vibe that isn't my cup of tea) but I know many will favour this style and pick an audio book because it's graphic audio and for those that do if you like this sort of story you will enjoy this, but from someone that would usually skim past a book that says Graphic Audio, I will be listening to the next one, actually spending a credit on it because I want to know what happens next as I enjoyed the story, the narrators were great and I did like the added music at the beginning of chapters as it felt like it fueled the eerie, funny, gothic vibe, (how the chapters were introduced often made me chuckle)

This one is a must-listen for fans of dark romance, curvy FMC, and stepbrother romance. I think with stepbrothers, as long as they haven’t known each other since they’ve been children, what’s the fuss? Not related in any way, perfect, shove it my way, please! Oh, and thank you for introducing graphic audio, which is NSFW or for the car! So hot!
Presley Kate has gained a whole new family since her mother remarried, and that includes two very good-looking stepbrothers, Gunner and Kai Donovan. They work at Wonderland Asylum, in Pixie Hollow, where Gunner is a professor. The brothers are obsessed with P.K, just as much as she is with them, but they aren’t the only ones who want her.
Dani Staro plays P.K., who is our curvy FMC obsessed with her stepbrothers but trying to find a life outside of them. I just love listening to Dani; her voice is so soothing, and I love how she released her brat energy for P.K. especially with her reactions with Kai. And released her more submissive side with Gunner.
Ivan Morea brings a playful and funny side to Kai. I love his interactions with P.K., including his touch her and die vibes. He is obsessed with her and everything she does.
Caden Hart has a serious and deep voice that just screams daddy, so no wonder P.K. calls him “daddy dearest”. The chemistry these three have together is amazing.
TKOH, played by Brandon Francis, brings unhinged to a new level and is ready to kill anyone to get to P.K.
Why did this have to end on a cliffhanger! I physically cannot wait to see what TKOH has got in store for P.K. and the Donovan brothers. Please give me more!
