Evangeline "Angel" Price is a mafia princess and would love nothing more than just a normal life, without all the mafia business and issues with it. She wants to go to college and be a normal 19 year old, but unfortunately that isn't in the cards for her.

This is an arranged marriage/mafia/BDSM/good girl bad guy romance and when I say it checks ALL the boxes I mean that literally not figuratively.

I loved the way things played out in this story, I loved Gaven and his overbearing kinky self. I also loved the innocence of Angel, she was perfection for him and that was everything for me.

I loved the cliffhanger, it absolutely stunned me! I knew things were about to go south but my goodness I wasn't ready. I can't wait to see what book 2 holds and how this story is going to play out. I am so ready for it... I think.

This book was spectacular and I can't wait for more!

Wicked Angel is book one in the Sinister Arrangement duet and is an arranged marriage mafia age gap story. Angel has no desire to have anything to do with her family business and she just wants to go to college and live a normal life and have her freedom. Her father, ready to step down from the head of the family, offers up his daughters to Gaven, a known business associate and hitman, but also someone he trusts. Gaven is instantly taken with Angel and once they are married he will take over the Price Family Syndicate. Angel has an overwhelming urge to run but follows through with the marriage, until events shortly thereafter the wedding have her fleeing. Gaven has made it clear she will always be his wife and if she runs, he will chase.

Initially I really liked Gaven. In the early stages while Angel's father and Gaven were discussing the marriage, he seemed like although he was very powerful and could be ruthless in business, he seemed like he also had a side that would treat Angel well and be very protective. While the protective aspect did hold true, I was not at all impressed in his treatment of her prior to their nuptuals, and while I am all for some spice in my books, this book just made me uncomfortable at times. I didn't feel any kind of connection between them at all which made rooting for them on any kind of level difficult.

I also felt like the story could have had a lot of promise but wasn't maybe well thought out or executed and needed further development. I was left with a lot of questions and various parts did not quite make sense.

I did think that the narration was very enjoyable and it did help to keep me invested in the story line. Michael Norman Johnson and Sarah Puckett both did a fabulous job as Gaven and Angel and in bringing these characters to life. I always find Sara Puckett extremely enjoyable to listen to and she is one of my favorite narrators. I would highly recommend both of these narrators and look forward to listening to more from them in the future. Pink Flamingo Productions The Flock VIP Review Team

Sarah Puckett and Michael Norman Johnson narrate this audio with skill and conviction. They inhabit their parts, bringing Gaven and Angel to life. Angel is desperate to lead a life away from her father's criminal world, but things are just not that easy for her. The story is intense, and ,for me, sometimes difficult as the heat seemed to teeter on the verge of abuse. This did not stop my immersion in the story and anxiety to see how it unfolded. And my goodness! What a tangled web it became, leading to an intense ending and a monumental cliffhanger!

This isn’t my first book by Lucy Smoke, but it is my first book by A.J. Macey. When I read the blurb, I had an idea and the fact that Lucy wrote it, I knew I would like it and I absolutely did but Jesus Christ, it had my head spinning and had me sitting and staring into space at times thinking “What the….. is going on” and I don’t mean that as a bad thing, I love it when a book does that and this book had me bent out of shape in all the best ways possible!

Where to start? This book was something else… I’m not sure how to review and do it justice. These two authors certainly were pushing the boundaries with this dark romance and the morally grey characters and if anyone loves gray characters and pushing boundaries? HI, IT’S ME!! 🙋🏻‍♀️

Firstly, we have Angel and her sister. Angel is a mafia princess and she hates it. She wants nothing more than to rid herself of that title and have a normal life whereas her sister wants the mafia life and everything it brings with it. The two have never gotten along, so when their father brings in Gavin, the man who is going to marry one of his daughters and take over so he can retire… The tension between the sisters escalates. Angel is chosen to marry Gavin and is definitely unhappy about it, it’s the last thing she wants to do. She’s not the type of woman to sit back and stay quiet so she certainly gives the man a run for his money. However, she doesn’t realise what she’s gotten herself into. Gavin is a powerful man in and out of the bedroom….

And I’m going to stop here. We hit a CLIFFHANGER.
I love a good cliffy so I’m not even mad. I am anxious to see where the authors go with the rest of the story though!

I’m not going to lie, I was obsessed with Gavin. Is that wrong? Totally wrong isn’t it? Oh well, I don’t care! I love a dark morally grey bad boy and this man ticks all the right boxes, he’s evil and I love it.

This book was well-written, it had great world-building, and the sexual chemistry between Gavin and Angel was palpable. So many twists throughout book one that have thrown me off course, but they have me chomping at the bit for book two! This book was dark, delicious and sinfully good and it even carries a fair bit of emotion throughout the book.

Bring on book two!
