What a finale! This series is my favorite of Cora Kenborn's! This has it all from a romance with chemistry that is off the charts, a man with a heart he didn't know he had and a never ending thread of action and suspense. Gianni is in charge now and with his wife, Becca by his side, he should be untouchable. But things never are like that in this world. I was on the edge for this one, and my heart was bursting! Becca is stubborn and while stands by Gianni's side, she has her own ideas and pretty much does what she wants. At times this gets her into real danger, and circumstances that have unexpected results. My heart broke, tears shed which I never do, and loved every minute of it. The writing is so visual, I could picture the characters and the scenes like a movie in my mind. A fantastic ending to this story and I highly recommend this series.

Alan Carlson and Kai Kennicott complete their narration with an amazing performance. Carlson is so good as Gianni and all the male characters. So many alpha personalities, even an Irish brogue, Carlson comes through with all the action and passion. Kennicott is Becca, holding her own, brave as can be and never letting up for a minute. She is full of emotion and controls it masterfully. Loved these two and their story telling.

What an excellent ending to this series. Gianni and Becca’s story delivered everything I was hoping for and then some. Becca stepping into Gianni’s world? Flawless. And if anyone thought she’d shrink into a meek little mouse once she entered the chaos… absolutely not. She held her own, even when some of her choices had me internally screaming because I knew they were about to land her in serious hot water. But she made those choices with confidence and with the unshakable belief that Gianni would come for her. (And he did. 😮‍💨) This finale was truly edge-of-your-seat. High stakes. Emotional punches. That perfect blend of danger and devotion that makes a mafia romance hit just right.

🎧 Audiobook Note:
The narrators were phenomenal. Alan Carson handled a wide range of male voices (including an Irish brogue) with incredible skill and depth. And Kai? I’ve loved her as a female narrator for years, and she was absolutely perfect as Becca. She brought strength, vulnerability, and fire to the role.

If you’re a fan of: Mafia romance; fierce heroines who refuse to be sidelined; protective, intense heroes; high-stakes, emotionally charged finales. I highly recommend the entire series. This was a powerful, satisfying conclusion that left me closing the book with a full heart. 💎🔥
