About this listen

Nineteen-year-old Melody hates that her parents make her go everywhere with Liam, the Ramelian warrior who has become her personal bodyguard. Overall this was a delicious, steam filled, panty soaking, BDSM delight. There wasn't a ton of depth to the characters or storyline. At times I found some of the dialogue a little corny. The sexytimes totally made up for all of that!! Dirty and delightful, there is plenty of steam!!

The narrator left me wanting more. His performance just lacked that little bit of energy that can really bring a story to life. It's such a shame because his voice was perfect for that deep, sexy alpha male tone. He just needs to exude a little more power and confidence in his performance.

Jack Calihan continues to bring Morganna Williams’ Ramelian Saga to life in book 2 The Commander’s Daughter. He has a voice I could listen to for hours, and I did as I finished this audio in one sitting. I think Morganna Williams did a great job pairing Melody and Liam her newly discovered submissive nature brought to life by Liam’s loving dominance. It was fun to see her parents (book 1) 20 years into their marriage still fiercely in love. I look forward to book 3 His Rebellious Mate.

This second book is this series is just as hot and steamy as the first! Great imagination from Morganna. Jack yet again gives a brilliant performance.

Liam has been Melody's bodyguard for years now, so it is the obvious choice for her mate. Melody has a different idea than her parents and escapes. This begins the fun, sassy side of Melody. Liam has no qualms about putting her over his knee. I loved the determination of melody, not to fall for Liam. But as each aftercare session ends, she falls harder and harder for him. Morgana Williams knows how to write about sassy women, and I have loved each one of them.

Jack Calihan is one of my favorite narrators. He has an easy to listen to voice. He brings every story he narrates to life and makes it more of a movie in my mind. Jack does not disappoint in this story as well. He narrates Liam perfectly. Liam is a strong, dominant male who will do anything to claim his mate. Jack Calihan brings that all out and makes Liam likeable. Mr. Calihan's narrated Izzy exactly as I imagined her and brought out all of her rebelious ways. This was a great listen.
