This turned out to be much more twisted than I expected and I decided to give up without reaching the end. I just wasn't enjoying how things were developing and it wasn't turning into a good listen in my car.

The narrator is very good and was very easy to listen to. Good variations in the voices too.

I might try again another time but I'm not sure if I will change my mind.

the narrator's performance is outstanding his voice is so creepy when its required and you feel the danger just from listening to him.

one moment that stood out fir md was when he said "Miss Clary", in my mind i just pictured Hannibal " Miss Claris" scene.

I really enjoyed this book, it is not your typical girl meets boy which adds some suspense to the story as well as some steamy sex. highly recommended

I like dark romance, however this just wasn't for me yet at the same time I was compelled to continue listening to the book.
It didn't have much storyline beyond the kidnapping of a author and what occurs afterwards in lots of scenes which I didn't find erotic or romantic. The scenes content were not to my taste either.
I didn't really like the narration either, the British accent was poor and seemed to change at times. I'd read some bits of the book and the narrator just didn't come across how I'd envisioned it in the book.
That said I have the trilogy so I am interested to see where it goes.
