About this listen

Maverick Harrington:

There are too many secrets at Rayne-Moore, secrets I once turned a blind eye to because I wanted nothing to do with faculty gossip, nothing to do with the elite. But now that I can no longer stay blind, I'm going to let it, and watch it unravel. For her. Raven Monroe. Because it's too late. I've dived into the ocean for my Siren, fell for her song and I want her more than my next breath.
I want to see the vast shades of violet in the black and white.
But detectives are hanging about, sniffing closer, watching. stalking. All while bodies are dropping and every day grow more dangerous. I just hope we all make it out alive.

**Stutter. is Book Two of a Duet - it is a very dark why choose romance with OTT, O/P MMCs and a strong FMC exacting revenge as they look for answers any way they can.

I loved this book, equally as the 1st one.. this duet was so much more than i expected, it is well written & perfectly narrated, the dialogue was perfect & poetic. Raven the Queen is still on a revenge path and her boys Damon, Jonas & Maverick remain equally as possessive and obsessed with her. I love how all of them got to open up & be vulnerable. Their bond is strong & yes that made for some explosive chemistry. The spice is delivered in spaded😍 🥵. In this book there is some MM & i can see how that happened the build up to these guys being together came slowly and naturally . It may seem unexpected but the interructions these guys had you can tell there is love there.
Love all these characters and all scenes were great but some of my favs are:
"The "club inferno" scenes between Maverick & Raven was soo good & the Christmas trip, Chapter 17 🥵, "🐓 warming 🔥 "

"Every thing Jonas did i ate up & i mean every single thing💜 "

"Damon always being daddy & "resourceful" 💜🙌 & him giving Maverick coffee lacedwith Raven's "nectar"😅 ....priceless I laughed so hard. Chapter 18💜"

"Chapter 36 😩💔💜"

"Elena , Jonas' mum was the best "

I really hope that next couple's books will have great narrators as well because this book was a masterpiece 💜 ,
I highlighted so many pages in my kindle & will reread this Duet again
What happened to Raven's mom?

STUTTER is the second book in the Rayne-Moore University (Rayne-Moore University Duet) and follows directly on from SPEAK.

I had an ALC for this book and the narration performance’s in duet style by Joe Arden and Heather Firth are sublime, and had me gripped from the very beginning this story just flowed into my ears so easily that I just got lost in it.

Raven, Damon, Jonus and Maverick continue on their journey to uncover and punish those responsible for Raven’s attack and closure finally comes for Damon and this parents.

At the start of the book Maverick is struggling with his feelings for Raven leaving him adrift from the others fighting his conscience as to whether he can live with going against everything instilled in him to do the right thing and turn all of them in to the authorities or for once in his life put himself first and have a true relationship with not just Raven but also Damon and Jonus, but the latter two now have a major trust issue with Maverick which they fight hard to overcome all the while having to keep a close eye on the immediate danger going on around them.

All have their demons but Raven’s obviously take centre stage as she struggles to keep fantasy and reality apart, and to listen to Damon, Jonus and Maverick help her in their own unique ways is enlightening.

There are twists and turns and the ending left me totally shocked when the identity of shadow was finally revealed, and although I know it was the only outcome it did leave me a little conflicted.

The second half of this story on audio is just as engaging as the first and Ruby’s captivating writing transfers flawlessly into audio and a series I will re-visit often.

This is a must read and a must listen to book.

I cannot wait for future books from Ruby M Darling.

Phenomenal narration

I really enjoyed this duet, however at times.i did feel that is was more spice than substance. that being said it is absolutely worth a listen.

I completely forgot that it wasn't multicast as Joe Arden does such an amazing job of narrating all three guys that sometimes I forgot it wasn't separate narrators, performance was outstanding. Heather Firth was phenomal as and the perfect pairing to Joe.

to me it was completely obvious who shadow was, and I can't help feel a little bad at what happened to him, felt that there possible could have been a redemption for him, however I get why there wasn't maybe that's just me.

The relationship continue to grow and strengthen throughout this book and I am an absolute sucker for a bit awakening in a harem. that s**t just gets me every time.

all in all a very enjoyable ready but be warned, it's extremely spicy.

This duet was everything. One of the best why choose I've read. The narration was phenomenal! Both Joe and Heather did an excellent job bringing these characters to life!!!

Amazing job!

I saw the ending coming, it still got me though. I hated it had to end like that, but I don't think it could end any other way and still be as great.

So much gore and so much horror. The angst was killing me in the beginning. But the cosy and heart filling moments (punishment included) had me sighing with jealousy. Even if the guys are definitely red flags and should not be a guy anyone should look for in real life, for Raven they are perfect and happiness promised!

The smex level overloaded, most of it was not my thing but it was still hot and detailed in the best way.

I loved this series, it twisted my mind up and slapped wonder right up my book soul, it hurt but in the best way!

4.5 to 5 stars
