Another addictive listen by Piper Stone with all the signature plot twists,angst,steam and intensity that Piper always brings to her stories.
Snake is ex Military and suffered a great deal when he served in the Marines,being captured and tortured.Now he is a man on the edge ,suffering from PTSD and leading a solitary life,he doesn't know what to do now he no longer is a Marine.The only thing he tolerates in his life is his dog Apollo,he wasn't expecting a woman to come crashing into his world changing his life forever.
Chastity also has a traumatic past that still haunts her and she still has a fear that she could still be in danger.She is now a physiotherapist and her client is Snake the one man nobody wants as a patient because he is angry and mean and refuses help...Chastity is determined to help him no matter how much he will try to push her away.So she decides to invade his space,if he wasn't going to come to the hospital for his appointments then Chastity will go to his home and make him except her help.
Snake is not happy he is grumpy,angry and deep down in despair he wasn't going to allow a beautiful woman to order him about,making him feel things and want things he never had before.
There is an instant attraction between them and they are immediately breaking rules to be together. Even though they seem to dislike eachother the chemistry they share is so powerful they just can't stop it.
Falling for one another was not in the plan but they are 2 lost damaged souls and their pain calls to one another..It seems like its only one another that can heal eachothers broken parts...But what they didn't see coming was Chastity's past which would threaten to destroy the new found relationship that they were both getting used to.
Piper Stone has written another spicy action packed story,but not only that this book was a little bit emotional too..I found myself really moved and upset at certain events in the book.
Skylar Morgan Narrates this book and I thoroughly enjoyed his performance,as he flawlessly portrays all the characters in this story.He is excellent.
Snake is a really captivating listen and I loved it.
