About this listen

The New York Times best seller.

There are a few unbreakable rules in the game.

Stay collected. Compartmentalize. Think your next move through.

Never let your heart dictate your tactics.

The heart is impulsive.

The heart makes bad decisions.

The heart doesn’t see the long game.

The heart may have decided to get Adam back, but when the endgame comes, the heart’s going to be the one to break.

This installment was truly exciting up to about 65% then it did settle somewhat but I'm completely satisfied by the story. These characters have been all consuming and a flawed as they were, I was utterly immersed in their relationship, their separation and their games. This duet has been stand out and memorable.

The narration was excellent and I understand now why it wasn't duet style, it still works exceptionally well.

Satisfying culmination to the duet

I love Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York, they are fantastic narrators. CD Reiss is an excellent storyteller and together they made an audiobook so compelling that I didn’t want to ever stop listening to it. The main characters broke my heart and put it back together again more than once. I didn’t want the story to end at all but the ending felt right. I would definitely recommend this book!

I have read many of Christines books. Marriage Games and Seperation Games are exceptional. They take you on a cleverly layed and interwoven tour of base self. The raw self. Inner thoughts, needs, desires, games. The games we play with ourselves, and others, both intentional and unintentional. The full spectrum of personality and what makes us tick. Christine conducts and orchestrates complex, rich characters, who blaze across her pages...and her symphonies are alluringly and cleverly composed. Beautifully demonstrated are holding two opposing thoughts or feelings at the same time (cognitive dissonance) and seeing which will play out. which will the characters choose? Which would we choose? The reader is stepped over a threshold, where angels would fear to tread, immersing her readers in a world many would not truly enter. Christine has written fully facetted characters, who were a joy to watch develop, grow and evolve. Christine knows what many other authors miss. We are not fully fledged adults at 25, who know who we are, where we are going, or have all the answers. We are always changing and evolving with our experiences. Ebb and flow. It was refreshing to read a relationship, that didnt start at the beginning. We meet the characters, already met, already married. Our life story is not just how we meet that one great love. It is about how, and whether, we stay together. The journey continues. Thank you for bringing Adam and Diana to us. Like others, i didnt want the story to end. They are now part of us like old friends. Although their book reached a conclusion, please don't let their story end. They are still evolving. Adam and Diana are loved as much as Monica and Jonathan Drazen (Submission). The same can be said for the 'beautiful within' relationship of Carrie (Drazen) and the soul deep beauty of Gabriel in Pretty Scars. They made our souls and hearts swell. More of them too please. They are truly loved.

Well done to both narrators Elena Wolfe and Sebastian York. Not once did i have a criticism of style, pitch, tone, inflection or intonation. It was an artful masterpiece by both. May i say a very special thankyou to Sebastian York...you have just made my life complete. I have read approximately 500 books in the last year, and today was the first day i heard it...it hit me in the solar plexus and i took a sharp intake of breathe...Finally. I was having a Christopher Heyerdhal moment from the battle scene in Twilight...the correct pronunciation of the word Twat! Oh the joy! Its like having another birthday! For those of you not in the know...the correct pronunciation of the British word 'twat' is...twat as in cat, not twot as in knot. Oh the elation. Bliss. Please pass the word around Sebastian..let the others know. Everytime i have heard it wrongly spoken, well, lets just say, its like dragging someones balls along a pebble dashed road. Sorry, not sorry. The Brits thank you.

To all of you who have delivered a perfect production...Never stop what youre doing. Keep reaching and keep teaching. Love and respect.

complex, intelligent, layered narrative.

Awesome read

A little over analytical at times.
Excellent characters, Diane irritated me immensely with her mixed signals, telling Adrian to go away and the her internal dialogue 'fight for me'. I think this is quite common among women though.
I could totally understand the not loving certain parts of a person/Partner.
Very intelligent writing.

Intelligently analysed relationship
