About this listen

Casey Alexander grew up part of the Ravage Motorcycle Club family since the day she was abandoned by her mother and thrown into her father's lap. Always seeing herself as an outsider, she spent her whole life trying to fit in but never really succeeding. When she loses her beloved father, the utter aloneness engulfs her, leaving her searching for solace in the one man she's always craved.

Gage Thomas (G. T.) Gavelson fell in love with his Angel when he was just a pint-sized kid. Both beautiful and smart, he always felt that she deserved so much better than him. Growing up beside her in the club only continued to test his will power, until one night he gave into temptation. Realizing that he couldn't allow himself to hold her back from the life she deserved, he pushed her away.

When a tragic shootout occurs, everything changes as once again Casey and G. T.'s lives are intermingled. When you find your way back to the one person you are meant to be with, forgiveness should be easy. But sometimes, we hurt each other too much to ever be able to forgive. Is their love strong enough to heal their pain?

I loved the first book and really liked this book initially but Angel developed as such a whiny, grating character I nearly DNF’d, she had an almost pathological reaction to a 12 week miscarriage which took up 60% of the book. Female narrator was awful and reinforced how pathetic Angel was. I hope the next book has a return of a kick ass heroine.

Mixed feelings

Was disappointed with the book, but the narrators where okay. The male narrator didn’t do a very good job of the female character, I found it annoying.

Casey was annoying and I didn’t feel a connection between her and GT.

Didn’t like the book

I liked the first book in this series with Princess as the main character - and I really enjoyed the first section of this book. However, over time, Angel really grated on me. She was such a victim and the plot became very far fetched with her being kidnapped or another sig event literally every other page! She came across as a very weak and needy character that annoyed me intensely. Seems as though the author might have had to complete second part in record time or something! Quality simply not the same as first half. Bored by end. Joanna Wylde REAPER books far more enjoyable.
