About this listen

One secret down, only one more to go.

This wasn’t the way I wanted them to find out, but the universe doesn't seem to be on my side these days.

But now they know both of my secrets.

I'll need to learn to balance the new changes in my life while battling with the old wounds of the past.

They say they don’t hate me anymore and that they just want to start over.

I want that too, but how can I forgive them after everything they have done? How can we just move past it?

Will they think I'm worth it when life becomes too hard?

My life is about to become a whole lot more chaotic.

This has been one of my worst years so far, and the pain isn't over yet.

Would having them by my side make it easier?

Life is short, so why not grab the bit of good I can find and hold on tight. Surround myself with the love of the people who mean the most.

Because I feel I am going to need it.

Our story has only just begun.

Silver Valley University is a college-bully reverse harem. This book may have some darker themes. Please be advised that sexual assault is a big topic in this story. Graphic sex. Swearing. Age gap. Alcohol abuse.

This series has ripped my heart out, put it back together again, and left me on the edge at the end of this book. Ellie truly comes a into her own in this book, trying to figure out if she has it in her heart to forgive her past lovers for all of the harm and destruction they put her through. Her former lovers have a ton of regrets about their actions and misunderstandings. But the question is whether the rift and harm is too deep to repair. Brody particularly has much to answer for, given how he badly he reacted and carried out his anger and pain. Rain is also one the worst bullies of the group, and she has amends to make as one by one, the secrets are revealed.

The book ends on a cliff-hanger, so I absolutely cannot wait for Book 3 to come out. This series is one that left me feeling the story along with the characters. Very few audiobooks has affected me the way this one has, but it’s so remarkable in its depth and breadth. Angeline Rocco and Oliver Highpoint do an excellent job of giving every character its distinct voice. Highly recommend this series for people who love bully and/or dark romance.

This series has me completely hooked!

I love Ellie and all her strength she has shown thus far, even when she herself doesn't see it.

I love Rain and can't wait to see what happens there, the way she grovels was spectacular. I love that Chase and Ellie so effortlessly were back to where they needed to be and I love watching Brody endure all the things. Also, I need to take a moment and just admire Brody and Jax. the balance between the two and the spice... yes, so much yes.

The dynamic between her and Theo is interesting to me and the fact that he seems to seamlessly fit into things is a little far fetched for me. I can't wait to see how that all plays out.

I love Lily and love the fact that her and Rain and Chase fell in love with each other without knowing anything at all. It was pure honest love for her as who she is and not what she is. That was everything for me. I loved watching that relationship build without any preamble.

I can't wait to see what book 3 holds, so many things going on and I am ready to see how everything plays out.

Angelina Rocca and Oliver Highpoint did amazing! They gave this book the emotions and life it deserved. I am excited to listen to more books from them.

Since the night that changed Ellie’s life she has been through so much with only the support of her parents. She picked up the pieces and is now attending college and has fallen in love with Theo who has shown her what support and acceptance truly means. As the truth of what really happened that night is revealed Chase, Jax, Brody and Rain will have their work cut out for them to convince her to give them a second chance.

Chase is the first to break through her walls, then Jax and Rain and finally Brody realizes that he can’t accept a future without her. Just when the past is finally settled, and all her loves are accepted by her daughter Lilly life throws them a curveball that will leave them reeling.

This installment focused primarily on the relationship that Ellie had for everyone both as a group and as individuals however the cliffhanger leaves us wondering how it will affect one member of the group in particular. I enjoyed the portrayals by the narrators as they brought out the emotion and personalities of each of the characters. 🎧 Pink Flamingo Productions

Alisha Williams continues to wow me with another amazing novel, the second in her “Silver Valley University” series. This story picks up soon after the first book, “Hidden Secrets” ends, and it is best to read or listen to that before starting this book. In the first book, we watched Elle get bullied by her former ex-friends turned lovers because they thought she betrayed them. But the truth came out to what really happened that night that changed everything for them all. In this book, Jax, Chase, Brody and Rain try to make mends, grovel for her forgiveness with hopes of getting back together with her. Except it is more complicated, she is already in a relationship with Theo, a single dad, and has a daughter of her own, Lilly. Ellie’s strength is admirable, and so is her forgiving heart. She lets them all back in to her life, into Lilly’s life too, who called them Ax, Ace, Broody and Fire. Theo was amazing throughout, as they all navigated their new relationship and reacquainted themselves with each other. Ellie had come face to face with her past nightmare and as she faces that battle she has her harem at her side. I loved how everything played out in this book, the writing, plotting and world building are fantastic, as are the character growth and development. There is never a dull moment in the book, the drama is non-stop, the emotions pour off the pages straight to the heart and the romance is sizzling hot. Alisha Williams, thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to what comes next for these characters.

🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Angelina Rocca and Oliver Highpoint continue to do a fabulous job bringing these characters and story to life. Their character voices are consistent and the quality of their audio is top-notch. Highpoint continues to nail it as the angsty Brody, the level-headed Theo, the kindhearted and vulnerable Chase and Jax, too. Rocca’s Ellie is perfection, grasping her strength and her vulnerabilities. Both were fabulous voicing the secondary characters, too. They continue to set the perfect tone for the story and capture all the characters’ emotions and have you experiencing each one. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for this fantastic listen.

This was quite the second installment of this series. From start to finish it was an attention holder. It picked up right where book one left off and then just continued with all the emotion, all the reveals, and all the heart mending. I appreciated how each character had their moments of dealing with everything that came out and how they felt about it as well as how they were going to make things right or accept the amends being made. For so many characters to focus on throughout the story, the author did a good job giving everyone their moment. I loved that there was significant movement in the storyline and resolution of big issues, and then there was that whopper of an ending. I cannot wait to see what’s to come in the next book. As far as narration, while I still liked both performers, I still found myself wishing there had been an additional male voice or maybe just that the male narrator had gone a different direction for Jax. I just didn’t love the tone used for him and it was a bit off putting whenever it was one of his POV sections. But otherwise, I enjoyed the performance and wouldn’t hesitate to listen to these narrators again.
