This is a great story that transported me back to the Civil War with such atmospheric emotions of how brutal and horrific war can be. Living in constant fear of death but fear of being oneself and hiding in plain sight to be oneself. This is a touching beautiful romance that shows that through horror and death, love can blossom in many different ways.
Excellent storyline with good narration and definitely worth checking out.
