About this listen

I never thought I could love a monster. Then I met Machi.

I shouldn't have been there that night. I shouldn't have seen that man die - or the face of his killer. Every part of me wanted to run and hide, to escape and forget what I saw.

But then he caught me. He stole me and pushed me into his world. He said if I listened to him, he could give me what I wanted...my freedom.

He forgot to mention that freedom comes with a price. I'm going to be auctioned off and there's nothing I can do to change that.

He wants me to believe that he isn't the bad guy. But I know better. Except...his hard jaw and full lips are hard to ignore, his voice makes my heart flutter, and his hands - his hands are purely toxic, unfurling my body with one touch.

He's a monster, and monsters lie. They lurk in the dark and rain hell on your soul.

I never thought that loving one was possible. Until I met him.

Note from the author: Pushed is a full-length, dark romance novel with no cliffhanger. This book has material that could make some uncomfortable. It's gritty and raw in the best way, but you won't know until you step in and listen to it for yourself.

loved it

Totally enjoyed this story but make no mistake the story is not for the fainthearted. It is very believable though that this could happen or has happened in real life and possibly with less hope and positivity in the end as in the story. The past will never leave them completely for sure but at least some justice and survival brought a positive spin after the drama and desperation. The narration was very fitting apart from female voices of the male narrator, that was a bit of a shock at times but as there were only few lines it didn’t take off the whole audible experience in total. I was hesitant at first as revenge is not always justice and all pain in the world doesn’t warrant taking the law in one’s own hand but as the story developed it became clearer how much trauma and confusion caused some of the actions. A tough read at times but in the end I was glad that I stuck to it.

On the edge but worth it

This was unexpected but brilliant! What a gritty story and so worth your time to listen. It follows the story of a girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time and saw something she shouldn’t have.
Aiden snow and sienna Voss brings life to the characters and are perfect for this story.

3.5 Stars

Enjoyable in the way that light-dark romance can be. This story I didn’t need to pay attention to all the details- but I’m baffled that Imperial did not have a wash/ bath for two weeks?!

I liked both Machi and Imperial as main characters. The overall love story lacked depth but the epilogue was satisfying and more realistic.

The audiobook narration was well done by both narrators.
