This book is very dark in the form of human trafficking but you quickly learn to love Eleanor’s fight.

I read the books last year and really enjoyed the story. I haven’t tried audible in a while as I didn’t like the voices dictating other stories.

This took a little while to like Eleanor’s voice but I’m nearly at the end of book 1 and love the way this is narrated now; both characters are great.

Each character is voiced by the lead in either chapter which I prefer than the chapter being read fully by the leading male or female.

Love the series, love the audio.

A girl sold... Eleonor has come to the dark side unwillingly. The story has suspense, a mouthy heroine and sexy men. I enjoyed listening to it and came to a cliffhanger, my heart stopped. Gotta listen to the next one. The narrators were awesome in bringing the gritty to life.

I received this audiobook free, as an Audiobook Obsession Reviewer, for an honest review. This was a amazing book. Pepper Winters deliered AGAIN, as always. This is a dark story, not for the "faint of heart". All I can say is I want some of his elixir. Sex trafficing is scary, but if I was stolen, I would want Sullivan Sinclair to buy me. I know I have to wait for the next in the series, but it is going to be hard. The narrators were/are fabulous. Sexy Scott Rider does things to me and Sarah Puckett is here usual awesome self. I was listening to it last night to help me go to sleep, and there was no way I was going to fall asleep. My heart almost beat out of my chest.

I have a few go to authors when I looking for dark, Pepper is up there on the list.
No holds barred into the story at a fast pace, that holds you in your seat. The heroine isn’t afraid to stand up to her captor and a captor that is love able on one hand and an absolute prick on the other. Win/ win. My only fault with the story is Pepper has a tendency to take you to a ledge and leaves you to hang, but it’s ok because I know whatever she has in store next is well worth the wait.
Fantastic narration by Sarah & Scott.

Once a Myth was an extremely intense story, but in all the best ways. It had a great plot as well as great character development and world building. It held me transfixed and wanting it to just keep going.

I am already so invested in Sullivan and Eleonora and it makes me beyond thrilled that I get to come back to this world and these characters several more times.

The narrators were perfection. Sarah Puckett is always amazing and continues to be so in this story. But Scott Rider was new to me. I really hope he keeps it coming because he did a great job with this one.

I absolutely love Dark Romance and this book was dark. I love the style in which Pepper Winters writes it flows so perfectly in my opinion. The narrators gave life to this story. Sullivan is a dark hero that you can't help but be drawn to and I love that Eleanor has a fighting spirit. I can't wait to book 2. 🎧 AudiobookObsession

If you’re looking for dark then look no further than Pepper Winters. Wow this is intense and makes you feel so many emotions. Elle/Jinx is a fighter and is trying to rebel yet there is an intense connection to her capture Sullivan/Sully. Reading/listening to this, reminds me to read Tess’s story by Pepper because it starts mentioning her. This is a scary concept but if it happens at least Eleanor holds herself strong in her resolve to get away if an$ when she can.

Sarah and Scott were able to capture the feelings and emotions of 5heir characters so very well, that the story comes to life. It’s a first listen to Scott’s voice and it blended so well in this dual narration.

wow, Pepper , what can I say...I knew this series would be good and judging by this first book in the series, I know I'm going to love it....Scott Rider's voice as Sully is brilliant casting and Sarah Puckett as Eleanor's voice is beautiful.
5* is the most icangivebut would give it more.

This is a very dark place to find yourself. Great strong willed leading lady. I fell in love with Pika! Fantastic performance from both Sarah and Scott.

This is my first Pepper Winters book and I am salivating for more of her story telling. Pepper is clearly brilliant at world building and giving you teases for more of her story. I absolutely loved this first part to a long saga, set on mysterious island and involving hot, asshole men means you literally cannot stop listening to this story. The narration from Sarah and Scott was excellent and really added to the story, I can't imagine it being as effective without their narration. I literally cannot wait for the rest of this story to be released as it ends on a huge cliffhanger!
