About this listen

Book 2 of the in the Up In The Air trilogy.

James and Bianca's tumultuous story continues in the sequel to In Flight.

James has initiated Bianca into a dark and drugging world of passion and pain. He taught her about her own submissive, masochistic nature, and she fell swiftly and deeply in love with the undeniably charming and impossibly beautiful Mr. Cavendish, but a painful misunderstanding and the return of the brutally violent demons of her past have combined to overwhelm Bianca, and, confused and hurt, she pushes him away.

It's been over a month since the shocking attack that hospitalized her, and since she told a distraught James that she needed space, but her feelings haven't gone away. Even she knew that it was only a matter of time before he would cast his spell on her again...

This book is intended for ages 18 and up.

Mile High continues the story in the same addictive way. The series feels almost like one long story rather than separate books, which makes you want to keep listening without stopping.

The connection between Bianca and James becomes even deeper here. Their relationship is still very intense, passionate and emotional. Again, there are many detailed intimate scenes, which I personally enjoyed because they really show the strong chemistry between them.

At the same time, the emotional side of the story grows stronger. Learning more about their childhoods and the trauma they both carry makes their relationship feel even more meaningful. Despite everything they have gone through, they still manage to find love and comfort in each other.

I have to admit that by this point I was completely in love with James as a character. He is dominant, protective and incredibly devoted to Bianca – the kind of fictional man that many readers secretly wish existed in real life.

As an audiobook, the narrator again did a very good job conveying emotions and keeping the story engaging. The only minor thing that sometimes stood out was that James’ voice didn’t sound much different from the rest of the narration.

Overall, another very engaging and addictive part of the series that makes you want to continue immediately.

The story just keeps pulling you deeper

Love this book and read it and the aeries 2 times. I didn't realise until actually listenong to the book how many times the author uses the term 'looong minutes' it got to the point that half way through the first book I was rolling my eyes every time the term was used, it became very off putting throughout book two and three.
