At the time because I didn’t start it from the beginning… I can remember how much I enjoyed John Matthew’s story, as I was reading it! Even though there was a lot I didn’t grasp… however, this tale a bit confusing (at the time) was emotional, traumatic and heartbreakingly beautiful. I swear all these males are so traumatised and yet striving to be honourable.

Over time I’ve come to read the series in order and understanding how J. R. WARD writes her plots and the BDB in particular… I get how starting with WRATH (Dark Lover) might be a better way to start in order to truly enjoy every book that comes after.

An incredible series. And getting better and better. The HEA with JOHN & XHES was so worthwhile. Through wire. Through the fire 🔥… to the limit— to the wall… I mean, these two went through it all just to end up mated and happy.

Loved it. 💕🫶🏽

Ps: Jim Frangione is staple to this series as his narration is flawless and something the BDB fans has become so use to.
