This is a very interesting Mafia romance and I have never read something like this before.
Jade Bentley is a dr of neuroscience and Dante is a Mafia boss you couldn't get any two characters any more different.
Dante wants to prove himself to his family he wants Jade's research....then he just wants her.!
They have an instant connection lust at first sight and they are explosive together...but they have alot of communication problems which causes unneccessary angst.
Then something unexpected happens which throws everything into questions that Jade needs to know from Dante.
I couldn't decide if I liked Dante or not he uses sex as a tool to get what he wants and to ultimately decieve Jade so he can steal her research...But he does have a soft side when it comes to Jade as well and tries to protect her,despite leaving her vunerable as well.
I was so intrigued by their story its steamy,passionate and a page turner which ends on a cliff hanger so prepare yourself.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and I am eager for book 2...to see what happens next.

This audiobook is really good and Michael Knight and Sadie Provost are EXCELLENT at narrating this story,and I really enjoyed listening to their performance.
They really gave the story a different experience than reading it yourself.

I read the Kindle version of this story and became hooked by Dante and Jade's story so when I found it was now available in audio format I knew I just had to listen to it. Having loved the written version I did wonder if the narrators would be able to bring such complex and interesting characters to life, I need not have worried Michael Knight and Sadie Provost are excellent as Dante and Jade the chemistry between them as they narrate rivals that of Dante and Jade.

I enjoyed this first book in The Dark Mafia Prince of New York series, it was well written, a thrilling blend of romance and intrigue with characters who were very well-drawn. It tells the story of Jade and Dante who are such opposites but who can't seem to stay apart.

Dante is a Mafia Prince who is desperate to prove himself to his family, whilst Jade is a scientist Jade who is about to make a breakthrough in her research which will help many people. Their connection is strong he's utterly infatuated with Jade to the point of obsession, there is passion and chemistry but there's also deception and a breaking of trust. The storyline is thrilling with a good mix of romance, mafia and science but everything comes back to Jade and Dane's feelings for each other. their connection and chemistry are palpable and can not be denied.

I don't want to spoil the story for anyone so I'm not going to give spoilers what I will say is I was hooked by the storyline and am eager to listen to Ivory Crown (The Dark Mafia Prince of New York Book 2) the next instalment in the story. I have to know what happens next!

Loved the dual narration of Michael Knight and Sadie Provost, our wonderful female narrator reading all the female lines and the brilliant male narrator reading all the male lines . Both amazing.

Jade life as a neuroscientist love life is dull . Staying late to life trying to figure out the landscape of people's minds and there health. Coming across a way of helping people, causing her to come too the attention of Dante . Dante comes across as a rich playboy who runs his family's construction business. Dante's family has mafia ties, with Jade he sees a way bringing his family into the future and stat to become legitimate. Even if this means betraying Jade. Dante is a alpha male who is obsessed with the brilliant Jade. Who finds herself caught in a dangerous game of power, lust betrayal and love.
This book if full of drama, action and the heat , but Oh that surprising cliff hanger ending.

This is the first book in the Dark Mafia Prince of New York series. I loved the fact that Dante is interested in science, and not just because the object of his obsession (Jade) is a scientist. I got engrossed in the story and Michael Knight & Sadie Provost performed beautifully in this duet-style narration. I caught a couple of minor continuity errors in the story, enough that I noticed but didn’t affect the plot or my enjoyment.
The story was flowing so well, the cliffhanger caught me off guard, will definitely be listening to the next book in the series.
