Shannon and Jamie meet when she helps Jamie’s dad who gets himself a little bit lost. Shannon is stubborn and really pushes Jamie away but he never gives up never he has some moments where he slips up but his main focus is her and I just love them both so hard!!
Betty Black is a new to me narrator and the way she gave voice to Shannon was amazing she gave her the fierce energy and stubbornness of Shannon and well as giving Shannon the softness and emotional depth. Shannon is a fierce FMC who is independent and doesn’t want to reply on anyone and Betty Black showcases this through her voice so well and I can’t wait to consume more of her narration.
Gary Furlong as Jamie’s is otherworldly for me honestly I think I might of melted? I have only heard him in books as side characters but to listen to a full book with him as the MMC was such a delight. The way he delivered some of his lines had me swooning and the protective scenes no notes. Gary Furlong is so talented and I need more of his in my ears!!
I have loved this series so much and can’t wait to add this to my audio trophy shelf 😏 Autumn Archer wrote such a banger with this series and I love her writing style and how I got lost in this series and with these characters 🙌

Shannon is stubborn, hardworking and stuck juggling two jobs while trying to chase her dreams in the horse riding world (a girl after my own heart). Her chemistry with Jamie is instant, electric and honestly kind of addictive.
Jamie himself is the classic charismatic, morally grey billionaire archetype who’s infuriating, seductive and completely aware of it. Their push and pull dynamic gives the book its heartbeat, especially once more layers of danger and family dramas start bleeding in. And the drama happening around their relationship isn’t lost or lessened by the spicier moment. Autumn Archers writing is totally immersive!
If you’re listening to the audiobook, the narration works so well with the tone of the book, it’s intense when it needs to be, softer when the romance shifts into vulnerability and very effective at highlighting (Gary Furlong) Jamie’s dominance and (Betty Black) Shannon’s inner turmoil and the narrators all really lean into that. Pacing feels fast and immersive. The shifts between dual POVs keep the momentum high and the narrators match the tempo well.
Gary Furlong especially nails that smooth, infuriatingly confident billionaire energy of Jamie, with the kind of voice that sounds like it knows exactly what it’s doing to you. His delivery during the more intimate scenes is slow, controlled and ridiculously effective... I actually blushed… that’s rare!
Betty Black, her voice carried both the independant strength and conflicting anxiety which fit the character perfectly. She captured the Shannon’s personality and added the feelings of her inner turmoil that made her worries carry through.
Joe Arden and K.C Sheridan, also added their amazing talent to the mix and the multicast is amazing!
It isn’t subtle, at all, but that’s part of the fun. It’s indulgent, dramatic and built to hook you emotionally and physically (…and Jamie definitely knows it). If you’re in the mood for a spicy romantic rollercoaster with bite, this book delivers exactly what it promises. 🥵🖤 I actually can not eat a bacon sandwich without thinking about this audiobook now! 😅

The voice actors are amazing giving us a full range of emotional experiences that are more than gripping and engaging. I was completely hooked from the first chapter to the last.
This is an incredible audio experience and should not be missed! A fantastic storyline with an intriguing narrative and great character development. I loved this series!
