About this listen

Meet Vic Lagina. Hippie. Dog lover. Bachelor. Businessman.

Asshole.

And once the busiest pornographer you never heard of. Come along for the ride as Vic takes you behind the curtain of his filthy twenty year career as a smut producer. As "Front Line Commander" for Brazzers, Vic spearheaded an operation required to blast out content for millions of jerkers worldwide.

That’s a lot of semen.

Serving corporate overlords he despises, our anti-hero feverishly clings to his soul while immersed in a world of endless drugs, sex, and daily mayhem. Relationships, family, and stability are strained to an immeasurable level as Vic's life builds to an uncertain climax. Will Vic survive the journey through the muck of a career in porn?

Impossible...or is it?

What follows is a hilariously disgusting tale of how the porn sausage is made. You may need to shower after listening.

Filthy: The Rise and (pending) Death of Vic Lagina is a powerful and honest audiobook that had a strong emotional impact on me. It tells the story of Vic Lagina’s rise, his downfall, and the rollercoaster ride that was his real life. It was a very gripping story that I found humour in alongside the sadness. I had Mixed emotions throughout.

Vic Lagina’s narration is one of the strongest parts of this audiobook for me. His sexy voice has a calm, grounded authority that immediately drew me in and made me feel comfortable from the start. It never sounded scripted or forced; instead, it felt natural and conversational, like he was personally sharing his story with me.

What really made the experience special were the sound effects that seemed to be taken straight from real scenes and real-life moments. Those details made me feel like I wasn’t just listening to a story - I was part of it. The added sounds helped place me right there with him, almost like I was living the moments as they were happening rather than hearing about them afterward.

The sincerity in Vic’s voice really stood out to me. You can hear his genuine reflection, and passion throughout the narration, which added so much authenticity to the story. Emotional moments felt honest and meaningful without being overdone, and the more intriguing parts kept me fully engaged.

The pacing was perfect for me .. never rushed and never dragging. His clear, steady delivery made even the more detailed sections easy to follow. Combined with the immersive sound design, the audiobook felt less like a recording and more like an experience.

Overall, Vic Lagina’s narration, along with the thoughtfully used sound effects, made me feel like I was walking alongside him through his journey. It pulled me into his world and allowed me to truly live in the moment with his story.

While listening to this book, I felt many different emotions. What a brave man baring all. Some parts having been involved in the Adult industry - I found comical and could relate. At first, I admired Vic’s confidence and success, but as the story went on, i started to dislike him & began to feel disappointed and uncomfortable with the choices he made. . Especially being such an educated man from a strong integral family. Seeing how his actions and the industry affected others and himself made the story feel heavy and to know it was real and not fabricated was at times even more shocking. When Vic finally began to face his mistakes, and wake up to the unhealthy choices that the industry seemed to fuel the book became more meaningful and inspiring .. by the end I was definitely a fan.

One of the most admiral parts of his story was how Vic took responsibility for his actions and that honesty stood out to me. He did not make excuses, he knew when it was time to change direction. Watching him reflect, change, and improve himself made me respect him, even after seeing his worst moments. His journey showed me that people can grow if they are willing to be honest with themselves and it sure did exposed a lot of unspoken behind the scenes politics and goings on involved in porn.

His story is clear and direct, which made it easy to follow and emotionally strong. He does not hide the ugly parts of his life, but also shows his ability and strength to change and challenge others.

By the end of the audiobook, I felt thoughtful and inspired. It made me reflect on second chances, growth, personal responsibility, and how real change takes time and effort.

This was not just a story about bad habits and decisions, but about growth and becoming a better person. I enjoyed it .. definitely one to listen to !! Good Luck Vic Lagina on your new chapter. Thankyou for the laughs, being so honest and for giving a good insight in to the darker side of Porn and how destructive it can be.

Easy listening that kept me gripped and interested throughout .. the Sexy voice helped 🤣
