About this listen
Outclassed. Outplayed. Outmatched.
After our humiliating defeat at Cyanide, Alastair left us shamed and shattered.
We lost.
But with our resources at a desperate low, new players making dangerous moves, and my brutes on the offense, I know I need to change the game. The last time I tried my hand, I made mistakes that nearly cost us everything—but I’m not the same hesitant little pawn I once was, and I’m not hiding behind my fear anymore.
This time, it’s my board.
The Sinners and the Reapers are in position.
The queen and her kings are in play.
But we need a better strategy—because if we can’t become the family Jasper always promised me we could be, then we might lose more than just our home at Bristlebrook.
We might lose our chance at forever as well....

NOTE: Entwined is book 3 of 3 in this trilogy. This trilogy is COMPLETE.
The Brutes of Bristlebrook is a dark(ish) post-apocalyptic, steamy romance trilogy, and Eden will end up with three or more love interests after I’ve appropriately obliterated my listeners’ nerves. Expect complex characters, 1st person present tense, multiple POVs, queer love, angst, lots of laughs, and to encounter material that some readers may find sensitive.
This book is a big gal at over 258k words and deals with a lot of heavy content. I promise it gets brighter as it goes on (you know...mostly). Please see my website for TWs—your mental health matters.

My only issue was the loss of Joe Arden as the narrator of Beau (whoever made that decision needs locked in Jaspers cage for 2 weeks... minimum). After spending the first 2 books falling in love with Beaus beautiful southern drawl that Joe does so well, to having a very slight accent appearing on occasion and being very confused at times as whether it was Beau or Lucky speaking was really disappointing.
What a great finish to the story

1. In book 1. I didn’t find the first meeting of all brutes at Bristlebrook believable so it bothered me slightly throughout.
2. I LOVE dark romance so I’m definitely don’t have a problem reading/listening to dark content but the sex between Jake and Eden made me uncomfortable and it’s the only time I’ve skipped through a sex scene - mainly because this strong incredible woman was reduced to an idiot. It made no sense that she accepted that.
3. Yes it dragged a little and then the end seemed weirdly rushed. Way more time should have been spent on the resolution than the many many similar conversations.
But having said all that I still enjoyed the books and could accept the way it ended.
Better than the reviews suggest
