This might have been a short story but it still managed to pack a punch. Online dating for vampires, that's novel, where humans can hook up with vampires or people pretending to be vampires for sex or just sharing blood,

In this story, one vampire is contacted online by two very different girls. One wants to die and the other just wants his blood in exchange for sexual favours.

He meets up with both of them over the course of a few weeks getting to know them both and also performing sexual acts. They were a little too brutal for my sensibilities. I am all for hot steamy passion, but whipping until blood covers your back is just a bit too much.

What saved the book was the twist that I did not see coming. It made the vampire more likeable but this guy is no Twilight vampire, definitely no sweetness and light!

The narrator did a good job, His narration of the vampire was sultry and smooth. The girls' voices were very alike and not the best, but it was forgivable thanks to the great vampire voice and the fact that Max's normal narrating voice is very enjoyable to listen to even if he isn't taking on a character's part.

All in all, I liked the story, I thought it well written, well narrated, but just that little too gruesome.

Wow, this book is not for the faint hearted! It’s quick and hot. Lots of steamy scenes to get you going. Max has a great tone to his voice. Perfect for these characters.
