About this listen

Ruthless. Cunning. Gorgeous. Killers.

They are the Kings of Bolten, an elite academy I have no business being in. My desire to remain invisible is dashed when I find myself bound to one of their enemies.

Now, there’s no escape.

With me in the crosshairs in a war between Kings and Lords at Bolten, will I be another victim or will the Kings spare me on the condition I belong to them?

One thing is certain. I have a few dirty little secrets. Maybe I’m not the good girl everyone thought.

Maybe I’m meant to be queen. Maybe… I’m meant to rule.

Dirty Little Secrets is a mature mafia academy romance with three sinful Kings of Bolten. Please check out the foreword.

Bianca is such a fierce FMC; she finds herself a target through no fault of her own and from chapter one the tone is set. It doesn't let up as Bianca is forced into an engagement she doesn't want with a man she can't stand and packed off to Bolten Academy. Hail is unhinged; what a vile piece of work along with Tate the Creep and the other Lords. Bianca has a plan though, namely that the enemy of my enemy is my friend.

The Kings aren't much better though and despite offering Bianca protection, they are pretty awful to her. Dom is the current standout and watching Bianca go toe to toe with him was never boring even if the humiliation made for some uncomfortable moments. Admittedly I did swoon a little at the rose though. Levin is holding Bianca at arms length thanks to his past leaving Vincent and Fallon who are the nicest of a fairly bad bunch but they both have their own loyalties to contend with. This is a fast paced bully romance; the drama is just getting started and things taking a pretty dark turn in the last few chapters from all angles.

Listening to the audio definitely added to the experience as its a great production with a full cast narration which I always appreciate with a cast of characters this size. A few of the narrators were new to me but Blair Thatcher was my standout. I loved her performance as Bianca as this character goes through so many emotional moments which force her to bend but not break. Bianca knows her own mind and even if some of her choices were questionable to say the least, she stuck to them. I cannot wait to see her tear it all down and become a queen instead of a pawn.

Wow, hold on tight because K.G. Reuss takes you on a wild and intense ride for the first book of her amazing “Kings of Bolten” series, a dark and twisted bully reverse harem romance. This book grabs your attention immediately and holds it hostage the entire time, a story that becomes your addiction because you need to know what happens next. Life was a financial struggle for Bianca Walker and her Mom, after her father left, but everything changes when her mom marries a man of wealth and power, David D’Angelo, taking their life from rags to riches and into a world she is too innocent for. Her stepfather is a sleazy snake who sees her as a commodity that will bring him more power, and he arranges a marriage for her, gets her into Bolten, an elite academy, the same school where her fiancé, Mikhail “Hail” Ivanov, attends. Bianca wants none of this, but she wants to get away from her evil stepfather more, so she will make it work, plus she has ulterior motives. Hail is the leader of the Lords of Bolten, and he is just as evil as her stepfather, and his minions and sidekicks are no better, except for one. The Kings of Bolten, Dominic the hardcore alpha leader, Vincent and Levin, are rivals and enemies of the Lords, and they view Bianca as an opportunity to take something from them, and seeing how Hail treats her, offer her protection, but at a cost. Not knowing whether she will be jumping from the frying pan into the fire, she goes with what she thinks is her better option, better for whom though? The power plays, the twists and turns are remarkable, with some blowing your mind, others making your jaw drop and/or get your heart pounding. There is never a dull moment in this cleverly plotted story, with non-stop drama, angst, heat and it was great watching Bianca connect with her guys, at least she thought she was connecting. And then that ending, an ending that leaves you wanting more. R.G. Reuss, thank you for this amazing story and wild ride.

🎧📚🎧   And for the amazing multi-cast production and lineup of talent, who were all brilliant at voicing these characters and delivering a perfect portrayal of each. I loved how they took their roles and ran with them, sounding believable and just as I imagined the characters to sound. The versatile voice artists nailed it in their roles, embodying their characters’ personalities completely, starting with Thatcher as Bianca, a side of sweet, a side of fierceness, and all in between, just wanting respect in the respect-less world she was thrown in. Arden played a killer Dominic, nailing the angsty alpha-tude, same with Hail, brutally vicious and quite the deviant. Palmini was spot on as Fallon, the kindest of the Lords, despite his hidden agenda, and Dicosimo was just as great in Drake’s role, shady and angsty. Adams’ Levin, heartless or just a heart filled with hatred, he wreaked angst. Last but not least, Ryder as Vincent, lighter than the others but no less scary or dangerous. They set the ideal tone for the story, conveyed all the characters’ emotions in their performance, have you feeling them all. Their knockout performance is enthralling and entertaining, keeping you glued to the story while taking the story to another level.

I basically went into this book blind because I like the author. Wow this book was great! It had so much plot with a good amount of spice, there was a lot of drama. I love college/university romances, especially when they’re why choose with rival groups. Listening to the audiobook actually made this story so much better and I really enjoyed the fact that it was multi cast and easy to differentiate between the characters which can sometimes be hard in a why choose with one narrator playing all of them

To say I wasn't prepared is an exaggeration. This dark, bully romance is much darker than I expected, but it worked. Bianca finds herself in an arranged engagement to appease her stepfather and keep her mother in the lifestyle she wants. Off to school where her fiance is, she is antagonized and he abuses her in all ways. She finds a ray of light from the family that is the enemy to which she is promised and now the fun begins. Each scene gives a different feeling, some passionate, some cringe worthy and all so fascinating that I couldn't stop listening. Twists and turns, jealousy and attractions, and all the dark feels are packed into this reverse harem. And the cliffhanger just makes me want the next book!

A fantastic narration cast brings this alive. Each character a different voice actor helps to create the many personalities that Bianca falls for. Joe Arden, Jameson Adams, Devon Ryder, Anthony Palmini, and Liam Dicosimo are different in tone and style which makes the boys easy to recognize. Blair Thatcher is amazing as Bianca, giving her the many emotions she goes through. It's a fabulous performance.

Dirty Little Secrets by K.G. Reuss is a dark bully romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Blair Thatcher, Joe Arden, Jameson Adams, Devon Ryder, Anthony Palmini and Liam Dicosimo. This is the first book in the Kings of Bolten series.

This is the first book of K.G.'s that I have read and it definitely won't be my last. I was pulled in from the very beginning and couldn't wait to see what was going to happen next. I loved getting Bianca, Dominic, Levin, Vincent, and Fallon's points of views throughout the book.

The book ended on an amazing cliffhanger that left me begging for more. I can't wait for the next book in the series Pretty Little Sins to be released on audio so I can get more of their story.

Blair, Joe, Jameson, Devon, Anthony, and Liam did an amazing job on the narration. This was preformed beautifully. They all really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work.

I would recommend this book if you're looking for a dark romance, bully romance, mafia romance, or a why choose romance.
