They took my name first. Then my face.

I was brought here to pay for sins that were never mine. Traded, reshaped, and punished until the woman I used to be is completely erased.

They say I look like her. They demand that I become her; become a living ghost. And when I fail, they remind me what happens to replacements that don’t fit their requirements.

For a long time, I believe there is only one man doing this. His cruelty and obsession simply wearing different moods like a living god who punishes and absolves at whim.

By the time I learn the truth, that there are in fact two of them, that they are twins, it’s already too late. I no longer remember who I was before they remade me.

And I don’t know if that loss terrifies me…or if surrendering to it is the only way I can survive.

This book!
I think I might have reached my trigger limit. Some of these scenes were definitely the darkest I’ve read.
Each character in the book was so well thought out. All of the men were darkly depraved but you still wanted to know what made them tick. Why they did what they did.
The storyline was so well thought out and every scene necessary to paint a detailed picture.
There were times that I had to close the book and walk away but I always came back.
Ellie you have a gift!
Before reading this ensure you check the CW as they are there for a reason.
Thank you Ellie for sending me an advanced copy of the book.

The darkest one yet.

Decimation was everything I could have wanted from the final book in The Brethren Lords series, and somehow it still managed to exceed my expectations.

This series has rocked my foundation from the very beginning, but Decimation takes everything to another level. It is pitch black, haunting, disturbing, emotionally brutal and completely impossible to forget. This is absolutely a book where you need to read the trigger warnings before listening.

The story is packed with twists and revelations that had me questioning everything I thought I knew. Ellie Sanders has created a finale that doesn’t simply wrap up the series — she brings the entire story together in a way that feels incredibly satisfying.

And then there is the audiobook.

Joe Arden was phenomenal. His performance completely drew me into the story and there were moments when I genuinely had to stop and process what I was hearing.

Juniper Reyes was equally incredible. She was a new-to-me narrator, but after this performance I will absolutely be looking for more of her work. She brought so much depth and emotion to her character, and together their duet performance made this already intense story even more immersive.

I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better cast or a better ending to this series.

This is the kind of dark romance that stays with you long after you’ve finished listening. You may question your life choices while you’re listening, but you’ll still be thinking about it afterwards.

An outstanding finale to an unforgettable series.

Five very well-deserved stars. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I originally reviewed Decimation as a book but after listening to it as an audiobook I had to come back and talk about the narration because WOW… oh my gosh… you absolutely need it as audio!

Joe Arden and Juniper Reyes were absolutely fantastic.. this was the most perfect selection for this book!

Joe Arden as Lazarus was… honestly indescribable… I kept wanting to ask him if he was okay. The way he portrayed Lazarus’s torment, darkness, obsession and completely unhinged moments was SO so so good. You could hear the emotion underneath all that cold control and it made Lazarus even more compelling. He shouts, he growls, he groans and then the next minute is pained! This is acting and not narrating!

And Juniper Reyes was equally amazing as Leandra. She captured that sense that something wasn’t quite right with her but in such a completely different way. You could hear the effects of everything she had endured, her illness, her fear and vulnerability, while still bringing out the strength underneath it all. I really felt Leandra’s emotional battles through Juniper’s performance.

Together they made an already incredibly dark story feel even more intense and immersive.. this is dark dark people and i was there for it all!

And Lazarus…
Ohhh, Lazarus. I already had complicated feelings about this man but hearing Joe Arden bring him to life somehow made him even more terrifying… and unfortunately even more compelling. And that whole switched ‘I don’t need anyone’ to ‘I will protect this woman at any cost’ progression? Wow!
Apparently I am still extremely susceptible to that particular brand of insanity. Oh my gosh i need to book a therapist session and unpack this! Haha.

If you love pitch black romance, morally BLACK characters, obsession, possessiveness and stories that push seriously dark boundaries, this audiobook absolutely delivers and needs to be in your ears!

The story is brutal, disturbing, emotional and completely unhinged… and the narration made the experience even better.

And Joe Arden… seriously… are you really okay? Haha.

Also, as always… it’s a ride with Ellie Sanders! What a conclusion we got! Thank you Ellie for the delicious trauma!

Oh the best yet…
