Summary

Finn Summers can't feel fear.

This causes Finn to take unnecessary risks—especially when it comes to his favorite sport in the world:

Surfing.

When Finn hears a rumor about a beach called Leviathans—located in the small town of Stars Cove, California—the promise of twenty-five-foot swells is too exciting for him to pass up.

However, Leviathan's beach has a dark history.

A history filled with monster waves, lethal secrets, and one very dead surf legend.

Despite the warnings of the town locals, Finn is determined to conquer a beach so gnarly, the men who discovered it named it after biblical sea demons.

…Even if it kills him.

Chasing Riddick is an open-door MM romance.

Contains mature content. A complete list of content warnings can be found on the author's website. Narrated in duet style.

Oh Finn 🥺 Alexandra really put you trough it... I loved the book so much! Alexandra ST Pierre knows how to make you fall in love with characters in her books... so when her sadomasochistic self puts them trough trauma your heart breaks, But as she told me after I read Neurovance "I just love healing arc so much and you can't have a healing arc without hurting the characters first " she also heals you. ...audiobook was amazing

Beautiful

Erm… kinda speechless really, also really hard to review without spoilers so I’ll keep it brief! First I’ll say I really enjoyed it. I really do love Alex’s writing, I love the way her mind works! Neurovance is one of my favourite books and I really like Merc & Mort so I knew I’d like this. It’s not as dark as M&M or Neurovance though!

While this book is fairly emotional and kinda sad I found it quite funny at times and really cute.
Plot wise; I guessed the first (& main) plot twist at the beginning of the book so that didn’t surprise me, it was kinda obvious but I’ve got a feeling its actually supposed to be..
BUT.. I really couldn’t decide how I thought it was going to end, I was going back forth with theories and I think any ending would have surprised me tbh, but I’m pleased it ended the way it did!
The little bonus epilogue from Turtle POV is just so adorable too! I’m so so glad that was included 🥰

🎧 Luke 3.5 ⭐ Sean 10 ⭐
I wasn’t overly keen on Lukes narrating, Sean was absolutely phenomenal - but Luke was a bit annoying at times and his performance was a bit weird in places. Still well worth listening to though on the whole though!

Wow.. what a book!!

This story will be living rent free in my head for the next, who knows how long. I've never cried while listening to a book before but this one did it for me. My first 6⭐ book of the year. Absolutely loved this one and even with the tears I felt like this one had a HEA.

Didn't see that coming...
