About this listen

Grayson Wright is a man who knows how to do many things, but fixing the toxic relationship with his longtime boyfriend isn't one of them. A surprise birthday party to rekindle their old spark sounded like a great idea - until Gray is the one who receives the shock of his life.

Chase Rivers is unlucky in love and draws every loser, liar, and cheater like a magnet. After giving up on finding love, a night out with Mr. Right Now will lead him to the doorstep of his very own Mr. Wright. Too bad Chase didn't have homewrecker and party crasher on his dating-disaster bingo card.

If Chase and Gray's first meeting was a fluke, then what were the second and third? Why does every path seem to lead them back to each other? Is it bad luck, a sick joke, or is it fate? Buckle up for a bumpy ride as these two men travel down a broken road of heartache and discovery.

Contains mature themes.

This kind of story is my favorite!! Only little drama and focus on the love story made for Hallmark (but with some steamy lovemaking!) :) Loved it!!

It's a simple afternoon book to listen to without too much engagement. The narrator was a bit annoying because he pronounced words normally but took long pauses in between, so listening at 1:10 speed was necessary, but still, those long pauses annoyed me. The other issue with the narrator is a lack of tone change. Everything is flat, and different characters sound exactly the same, so pretty much all the time, I was confused about which character was now speaking.

A steamy love story so good to listen too. Just the right amount of everything. Narration was excellent 👌.

This is my first (and most likely last) book from this author. It starts out okay, but unfortunately the characters have less depth than cardboard cutouts and the plot is too unfocused. Characters act in whatever way the author fancies for a particular scene with no consistency, development or attempt to mesh with their given backstory. There's good potential for lots of sextual tension from the forbidden office romance, but instead it jumps from we can't resist each other but we are going to follow all these rules to keep things secret and professional at work to immediately ignoring those rules (and not because they try but the attraction is too great to resist- there's just no attempt at all to follow the rules they set).We are introduced to a lot of side characters that we are clearly supposed to care about (and presumably have their own books in the series) but add little to nothing to this story. I gave up listening 2/3 of the way through the book because I just couldn’t care less about any of the characters or what happened to them. The narrator had a nice enough voice, but he read both characters in exactly the same voice so it was difficult to keep it straight who was talking. The only redeeming factor was the fact it was included in the plus catalogue so at least I didn’t waste a credit.

Lacks depth and focus
