This fantasy story is like a box of chocolates, you either going to devour it ( in my case: I gobbled it up) or find this dystopian story a total miss. However, it safe to say, the story might not be to another’s taste, but the writing and plot was great. The potential for Nicci Harris is huge going forward.
I did read & listen to book two, which was as book one, flowing beautifully and a continuation of the series in this dystopian world with a new standalone sexy romantasy and now I’m looking forward to the third instalment.

Man i love Nicci Harris writing. She has this way of creating characters that draw you in completely & put you in your feelings. This is dark romance with chef's kiss spice. Rome the mmc's will leave you panting with every scene & every word he utters & Sean Masters' voice ❤️!! my goodness 🥵🥵, he brought Rome to life so beautifully. CJ Bloom's voice was equally amazing as Aster.
Aster was such a beautiful human,loveable, strong & so unapologetically herself. She stood up to the king & had a kind heart nowonder Rome could not resist her.she had all the qualities of a strong feminine woman, the perfect Queen & Rome was every bit as strong as he was loving, possessive & protective. The man was Jealous 😍, he was jealous of his own eagle getting attention from her & he went crazy when Aster gave flowers to his brother & council I ate that shit up . As hilarious as it was it warmed my heart seeing this Giant so possessive and so inlove. I loved this story and my i fell in love with Tuscany & can't wait for her story with Kong, I just know their story will be an emotional one.
